recording programs aren't working with mta

haso

Question

as the title stated

recording software like AMD gaming evolved(old), AMD relive( the new one) and Microsoft Xbox DVR(built in windows 10) , plays.tv

none of them are working with MTA, but I have heard that shadow play(for Nvidia cards) is working just fine.

the reason why i am writing this topic is that I thought the problem is with the program itself (amd gaming evolved) but after seeing 3 new software's and all of them aren't working tell me there's something wrong...

right now i am using plays.tv  and it works fine with all the games i have

last thing i want to mention why i am not using softwares like fraps ..etc , becuase these software's stated above have almost no effect on fps and the ability to record the last 30 secs.

so do you guys have an idea about what preventing these programs from working with mta sa?

I cannot avoid saying you're drawing countless conclusions, like stating these recording tools won't work; you're talking like it are given facts.

But what if circumstances in your case cause it to not work? You can be doing something wrong, something in your system or video drivers may be faulty, before writing these recording tools off as ''not working'', let's avoid setting a new standard: I first want to see others testing it and confirming it's not working.

Also try Gourmet's idea.

That's because MTA is running in fullscreen.

Try setting it to borderless mode, for me that works just fine.

thanks Gourmet, i have tried both borderless settings but none of them are working.  what is your graphics card, recording program are you using?

thanks Dutchman, maybe there is something wrong with my machine or i got faulty drivers, but they are only going to effect MTA?? like what i have said before i managed to record flawlessly 720p 60fps for almost all the games that i have, not to mention that i did clean installed the OS hoping that it may fix the problem but sadly it didn't...

I still think that there is a problem with my machine or mta, so I am here to do any kind of testing that may help.

@haso I have no way of verifying because I dont use any of these tools. We can start troubleshooting when some others try it out and say it does work for them.

Although we can just try a few things already...

Please  download, extract and run MTADiag and follow the instructions.

Press 'n' when asked.

Post any Pastebin URL MTADiag gives you

As expected, your graphics card has some issues, it has error status/code and the driver date/versions are glitched out.

Please take these steps:

1) download DDU and use it to clean all traces of the graphics driver: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

select Nvidia in the app so it cleans/uninstalls the bugged Nvidia drivers, and restart your PC when done.

2) get the latest driver: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows 10 - 64 (first option, 17.7.1)

3) Install the above graphics driver, and after that, this chipset driver: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/20775/eng/SetupChipset.exe and restart your PC.

4) a bad driver download is rarely the cause of your graphics card device problem status, please also do the following:

- Open commandprompt (cmd, rightclick > as Administrator) and type this: ''DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth'' and restart your PC.

- When your computer is rebooted, once again open a commandprompt (also as Administrator) and this time enter: ''sfc /scannow''

Restart your PC once more after the SFC scan completes, and try if your problem with recording is resolved.

It's important to follow all steps in sequence, please let me know of the outcome @haso as we can try more if it doesn't work.

@Dutchman101 thanks again

I followed all the instruction step by step(i am familiar with most of them) but sadly it didn't solve the problem.

also just to add that I do remember when first AMD launched their application it was working just fine with MTA , i am talking here about 2 years ago or so , so i went and installed  the older versions of MTA (1.3 , 1.4) and nope, no recording or whatsoever.

here is the URL for  MTADiag after doing the instructions : https://pastebin.mtasa.com/937792952

Your driver still seems to be corrupted after reading the new MTADiag log,

It could be related to underlying service controller problems that bug out Nvidia drivers, please download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9yrjnjrkrkg7c6n/servicing.bat?dl=1 (rightclick file, 'Run as Administrator') after doing this re-install with that Nvidia driver again.

Another driver is also corrupted in the same fashion, please download & update with: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dd0uda7g9inz6bk/FiiO E10K ASIO Driver.zip?dl=1 too.

is this file only for Nvidia drivers? cause I have amd card as i have stated before and it didn't make any difference (not to mention that it f**** my firewall for some reason , and had to do some research to get it fixed xd)

and about the FiiO e10k it's really weird that it appears as corrupted while its just plug n play DAC for the headphone...

here is MTADiag :https://pastebin.mtasa.com/993052243

to anyone please if you have amd card just say if you are able to record videos in mta sa using plays.tv.
