Connection problems

ElTongaZ

Question

Sorry if my title is not self-explanatory.

Hello MTA community, I've been trying to release my server and I did it, in the past, but then I installed Windows XP (My server was running in W7) and I decided to upload my "deathmatch" folder to mediafire so I can download it then.

I did it, I changed the old IP from mtaserver.conf. But when I log in this is the IP

mtasa://192.168.2.10:21892

Errors there:

That shouldn't be the IP, 1st because it doesn't ends in 2.10 but in 2.1, also that's my lan IP.

The port, should be 22003, I don't know where that 21892 came from.

I opened every port I needed, 22003, 22005 and 22126 on my router and I made the exception for them in the firewall, then I tried to test it by https://nightly.multitheftauto.com/ports/, but I got 3 X.

When someone else tries to join, he gets Connection Timed Out and the server is not shown in the server list.

I hope there is a solution for this and from now, thank you for reading.

Make sure the serverip setting in mtaserver.conf is blank like this:

<serverip></serverip>

Open Windows Command Prompt and use the command: ipconfig

The IPv4 Address. . . . line will show your local IP.

Use your local IP in your browser to connect to the server.

Also use your local IP in the router for port forwarding.

I left the that line in blank as you said.

The Windows Command Prompt shows 192.168.2.10 as my local IP and 192.168.2.1 as my default gateway.

The server browser still showing 192.168.2.10:21892, I connected with that IP and also I connected by changing the port to 22003 (In the browser itself).

And the port tester still give me 3 X

When you said

Also use your local IP in the router for port forwarding.

You mean put my local IP as a website address right? To open the ports? Yes, I already did it, and I did it twice to be sure.

No one can enter yet.
