  1. -Betriebssystem?
  5. ln -s /MTA/server1/mods/deathmatch/resource-cache/http-client-files/ /home/folder1/folder2/whereveritshouldbe/PINGAS/ or ln -s /MTAFOLDER /WEBFOLDER
  6. There has been a server I hosted with exactly the same problem. The databases became too big and suddenly the server froze. It wasn't a script problem. Deleting the databases solved the issue.... Its happening on Linux Debian 64 bit.
  7. It says the same for me, and the ports are open.

Tell the people which gamemode you are running first, dude.
  9. Scripting an RPG server in MTA is like pissing into an ocean of piss, it seems. I'd really like to help you, but I've got my timetable full. If you need a host, I'm working with SVN though. And no, I don't take any money.
  10. It happened to me when I switched from Stealth to Derby. Stealth replaces the ramp object with something else, so it happened every time when I quit the server. It is a known issue and currently under construction. Back then I fixed it with removing the shield from stealth.
  11. The race ramp issue is a known issue. It has to do with replacing cols in the GTA engine... If you unload maps with .col data, you need to reset that replaced .col data first. The "disappearing object" problem may be due to the MTA streamer. Try to "run backward" until the objects faded out, and run back in again.
  12. Do you have admin rights? Is the command "refresh" or "refreshall" allowed in the ACL?
  13. Is the config file in the correct folder? "Error parsing config file" can also mean: "File not found".
  14. Why? This should be a lesson for everybody; you aren't the first one after all.
  15. I don't want to write a "how to hack a server" for noobs.
  16. Server side, I would presume. But that discussion is already running on mantis.
  17. Its common to give all resources admin, thats what I meant. If you find out that a server did that, its easy for a hacker to attack it. I remember doing it myself.
  18. Wait for the MTA team to fix it?
  19. viewtopic.php?f=106&t=36965 Installing gdb could help a bit. If you have the crash, report it.
  20. So thats the last lines the server wrote into the log? Which OS do you use, do you have a crash dump?
  21. As far as I've understood it the trick of that DDoS is that the server answers with a big piece of data on a small request. In that case answering every 4 seconds would decrease the data sent.
  22. Running an MTA server, or any kind of server that connects with the internet as a root is a bad idea, thats my opinion. If he wants to play it the hard way its not my business, and if you are running your server as a root its not my business either. And if running the server as another user would mess up the server, I'd have a serious issue and wouldn't be able to host anything. Seems like I don't. MTA neither requests access to port 80 or to any port below 1024, nor does it use any other resource that would require root rights. You don't need to run it as root, so don't. Unless of course you'll give everyone who visits your room the keys to your apartment.
