Hello how can i play mta steam with xbox controller

Hello, I recently bought San Andrés of steam and downgraded. I installed and when I click a server it loads but before it fully loads the game crashes and I tried many times. I don't know if I installed wrong or not I tried deleting files and didn't work Single player works My game is currently un installed until I know a fix
