Actually they are saved in GTA Vice City User Files (it's in My Documents), same as savegames. Warning! You can only save one at a time, if you want to keep one permanently, either rename it or move it to a different location.

Very true, the quickest easiest way to improve the quality of low bitrate videos is to reduce the frame size, as I mentioned in a previous post. A resolution of 320x240 viewed at 200% zoom will look better than a resolution of 640x480 viewed at 100%, encoded with the same bitrate. Try it, you'll see.

Most people find that hitting Return two or three times, plus a little patience, brings them back to the Desktop. I'm not sure if Alt-Tabbing works anyway.

You're right, it can be done by altering the main.scm. Do not alter the MTA main.scm as it will cause crashes when you play online aginst people with the official MTA main.scm. However, if you play on private server (e.g. passworded or only on your LAN) you should be OK as long as everyone else has a copy of the modified file.

I must have missed that post somehow, looks like you've already done all the obvious things to try. I can't suggest anything else off the top of my head, but I'll think about it. Hopefully some of the MTA guys might have an idea.

You need some kind of CRC check for the vehicle config and similar text based files, as it's possible to alter them and keep the size the same. 1- Typed in cheats are already blocked, it's trainers that are causing problems. 2- Not sure about that one.

There is currently a limit of 50 cars. As explained elsewhere on the forum, most were put on the East island because the devs thought if that was where the cars were, that's where the players would stay. Now they know that's not true, so next version I'd expect to see a better spread of car locations around the map

It's not bad, would have liked to see a few more of the stunts landed, rather than cutting away at the last second. A bit suspicious that. You could improve the quality by reducing the resolution, taking it down to 320x240 would make quite a difference. My vote goes with a DivX or XviD encoded .avi as well. On a side note, that's an interesting trick at the end, flying in circles... You wouldn't be using my Sunshine Stunt Set mod by any chance, with the interior values altered in the .ipl to make it invisible? I don't mind if you did, it just looks very familiar that's all.

As far as I know, all that the randomiser does is change the names of the files in your mp3 directory. I can't see any way that would affect MTA.

ME is just an updated version of the 98se OS. It's basically a 98se OS that doesn't crash just as often. But it still crashes alot! In my experience ME is an updated version of 98 that crashes a lot more and is a lot slower. Basically it's just crap, get rid of it.

Please don't turn MTA into yet another role-playing game. There's plenty of them around already, much better suited to the genre as they were designed as role-playing games from the start. MTA is about dropping in, driving, shooting, having fun and dropping out again. I can't think of anything worse than having to join a 'clan', build up my 'skill-points', do 'jobs' for 'money' to buy better weapons etc. etc. etc. Anyway, there seems to be a split amongst MTA players over this. Some people love the idea, others hate it. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out. If it turns all role-playing, I for one will not be playing anymore.

I think they had problems with putting the rocket launcher and sniper rifle in, hopefully they'll be put in later. Dos anyone know if the minigun is in there anywhere? The only time I saw one was when I killed a cheater and he dropped a full set of weapons including mini and sniper. It was pretty funny, when he had respawned I shot him with the mini and he dropped another one. I think he stopped cheating after that.

LOL, you don't need a crack for v1.9, it's free! And it doesn't 'cut off half the screen'. That happens because it only records in 640x480, so change your resolution to match and away you go.

Running with any other mods installed is officially not recomended. The server will not distribute mods to the clients, but if the same map or vehicles are manually installed on all clients, that has been reported to work OK. As long as it is run on a LAN or as a private passworded server. Do not join public games over the internet with any other mods installed. It causes crashes.

Looks pretty good. I think if you toned down the colours a bit (too much yellow! ) some images from GTA3 would fit in better.
