Server Creation

Ok, I wnat to make a server for my site. Heres all my cPanel info given to my for my hosting:

General server information:

Operating system FreeBSD

Machine Type i386

Apache version 1.3.33 (Unix)

PERL version 5.6.1

Path to PERL /usr/bin/perl

Path to sendmail /usr/sbin/sendmail

It also gavce me a SHARED IP ADDRESS do I use that as the IP address in the config file?

I downloaded the file for freeBSD and heres all the files that came with it:

AS IS:

MTASERVER0.5

banned.lst

motd.txt

mtaserver.config

In the readme it says that I use the executable file.....what one!?

I have MTA .5, and the admin tool that came with it. That's it.

What do I do?

You can't (usually) run servers from normal webhosting, I don't think you're able to execute the file and your hosting company probably does not allow it anyway. If you really want to do this, get in contact with your hosting company and ask them about it.

Ok, say I have it (Need permission from server owner)

Could you list the steps I need to install the server? Detailed, as if you were talking to someone who knows jack squat about this subject! Lol

Also for my hosters information (And mine)

Roughly how much bandwith and space will this take up? On average, with like a max of 24 players at a time, with an average of 10 people a day?
