Physics on game objects

I am wanting to know if there are any functions that I could use to enable physics on objects?

if not, would it be fine in just attaching an object that already has physics to an object that doesn't, then make the physics-base object invisible?

Also, if anybody knows of any objects that have Physics, can you please list them if the 2nd option is what i need to do.

What I am trying to do is allowing the player to place objects in-game, but since objects just float there, it would be unrealistic, so I need to make it fall down to the ground.

I thought about adding moveObject and then just have the object fall to the ground that way and that may work in certain cases, but it wouldn't work if the player wanted to place objects as ceilings or balance objects on others.
