i hope there will come a pc version of gta sa

but if it comes out on pc i think i cant run it on my low 1400mhz with a geforce 2 mmx 400 [64mb] and a ram memory of 256mb ram

It wouldn't be good business sense for Rockstar not to release it on PC. To be honest, with the likes of Half-Life 2 and Doom 3 (supposedly) coming out this year, along with new technologies, it would be a good time to upgrade.

Ppl were saying that a month ago with UT2k4, they're saying it now with Far Cry, they'll be saying it just as well later on and so on... High performance, resources demanding games will keep on coming one after another, which alone should suggest the "now would be a good time to upgrade" mentality is stupid if not patronizing, but definitely a market driven one. Ppl should consider upgrades depending on their current (and immediate future) needs and what they can afford when the time comes.

Back on topic, here's a wild Prokopis prediction for the PC version of SA: expect >=3 CDs. You heard it here first!!!1

Oh and I bet the maps will still be buggy as hell (which I love about the GTA series :D).

Actually, now would be the worst time to upgrade, what with BTX and PCI-Express due for release later in the year, not to mention next-gen cards offering (apparently) 100% performance increases (which was why I specifically refrained from using the word "now").

And I would generally agree with your argument, but everyone on this site will want to play the new GTA, and a large number of people will want to play Doom 3 and Half-Life (if only to see if the hype is justified). For a lot of people, this will mean an upgrade. I did not say "get the fastest machine possible". With new technology looming, what is considered to be fast today will receive massive price cuts so that suppliers can shift stock ready for the new hardware (the Radeon 9800 XT has had a 50% cut by some retailers), so it will not be as expensive as you make out.

I'd have to agree, theres a lot of new hardware on the horizon - next gen of GPUs, new case/motherboard system and of course PCI Express (that name sounds really corny to me)...

I keep wondering why they would call it ''Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas'', If there are supposedly three cities.
Well, we know why, San Andreas is a state, which contains the three cities.

Ah, must have missed that when I read the article.

Funny that they would deviate from their 'gta1 tribute' style, as in gta1 San Andreas was a city, just like Liberty City and Vice City were.

Any new interior would probably be more cool than the Malibu and lol @ "aggresion and hate for the ppl that love the casino"! WTF dude? Ppl have been saying "omg we're gonna own a casino" and I just don't see what's so special about that to get so excited over, months before the game comes out and especially when they've heard all of its other features as well. Or is it because you'll be able to gamble? Dunno, I guess the mere thought of a casino in a game is enough to suggest a very good game for some ppl; I'm just not one of them. BTW makin' money in the other 2 GTA installments was never the biggest of problems anyway.

Did they ever actually SAY you can get fat?

It might just be a picture of some fat black NPC near a donut shop

:D

Rockstar haven't officially said it, but it's been touted by a lot of "sources".

As long they don't use the GTA III engine (or the advanced Vice City engine) then it'll be fine (maybe, not official)
