rain_gloom
The DayZ mod uses local chat and radio chat. How can that be achieved? I've checked the wiki to no avail. Link to comment

csiguusz
I'm not familiar with DayZ I don't know how do those chats look like, but with outputChatBox on serverside you can define who to send a given message. This can be used to make 'channels' by sending a message only to players who should get it. Link to comment
rain_gloom
NONONONONNO, it says local when I presss "t" instead of "say" or whatever it says team is the same and it has an additional "radio" channel bound to "z" (I think, maybe something else) (I'm speaking about the MTA DayZ not the real DayZ, in case it wasn't clear) Link to comment
csiguusz
Oh, sorrfy for the misunderstanding. Then I think it could be made this way: disable original bind of t with toggleControl, bind it to an another function wich writes your own text and the inputted text to the screen with dxDrawText in conjunction with getChatBoxLayout for the perfect positiononig. Then bind a function to enter that sends the message to the server wich sends it to the choosen players. Might also needed: isChatBoxInputActive, onClientCharacter I hope i haven't left out anything. That sounds complex as hell, for a (semi) beginner like me. I'll check that resource when I have time. (2-4 days) Link to comment
