dystopia
well lets go to last resorts, if you run a firewall (software or hardware) you might need to diable blocking of port 2003, and 2004 (common ports for mta) and try again Link to comment

MAD_BOY
1. the vass is saying crap 2. make sure that port 2003 (the default) is avaible (if not, turn off the program that's using it or forward the port) 3. make sure your firewall is off! Link to comment

dystopia
jarzka, are you using a router? if so you will need to access it's web interface, (commonly go into a broweser and type it's address which should be in the manual) look for "special application ports" and add 2003 and 2004, and it should go thru Link to comment
w715
I have a router and I can't play some games (C&C Generals), but I had no problems with MTA. And I haven't ever configured my router, I just plugged it in. Link to comment
Jarzka
I have router [ I don't find "special application ports" ] Link to comment
dystopia
whats the make and model, none of them tend to call it the same thing, also called common application ports, um, universal ports, open ports, basically tho it'll ask for the port number and tcp or udp Link to comment
Ransom
Try this: Download this, http://mtaservers.tv2knet.net/mtaph.zip it opens up mta and joins you automatically to servers when you click a mta:// url. Then go to the servers page here, http://mtaservers.tv2knet.net/index.php?q=list (This link is from the main page) and click on a server to join, for instance: Click here to join a server once the auto-join program is installed If that doesn't work, then its not your configuration thats the problem because its automatic connect (except for game version will not be auto set. Try setting your game version to 1.0 then 1.1 if you don't know). If that doesn't work then you need to check your internet settings, firewalls, blah blah If all else fails I can only suggest un-install and re-install of GTAVC and MTAVC. Re-install works wonders.
