Low map editor draw distance after placing too many objects.

This helps a little:

    for i, o in pairs (getElementsByType ("object")) do  
        engineSetModelLODDistance ( getElementModel(o), 300 ) 

If you want a specific object to be loaded very very fast, you can also choose for a LOW lod object + a normal object.

object createObject ( int modelid, float x, float y, float z, [ float rx, float ry, float rz, bool isLowLOD = false ] )
