Ya, they need more "something" to it,

The font isn't proper. It should be a bit smaller and using a border. Maybe Impact would be cool.

The background should be changed, you are using the default PhotoShop mosaics. What if you make something simplier?

You could edit the images of the MTA logo to make them not-rounded rectangles.
