GTA3:MTA/MTA:VC Blue

SugarD-x

Question

Heya guys.

Who out there is interested in seeing MTA:SA's Blue Core ported to GTA3:MTA and MTA:VC?!? Anyone?!?

Who out there is interested in helping, and has capable C++ skills?!? Anyone?!?

If you can answer yes to these questions, we want you!

Currently a team within MTA, as some of you may know from other 0.x-based releases, is working on Blue for GTA III and Vice City using MTA code, however we are running into a small situation. The problem is that although we have capable developers, our time is split into working on other MTA projects, as well as upcoming 0.x releases, and our own lives. That is why I'm posting this topic here today. I'm trying to find someone who is knowledgeable and interested in the community that is willing to give this a shot. Experience in C++ is a must, but with this project going open source as MTA:SA is, the source will eventually be made public upon basic completion so others can join in...but this cannot happen until that basic structure of the code has been made.

Some say this is a near-impossible task, but in all honesty it's not anywhere near as hard as it seems. MTA:SA has done most of the work for us by creating the Blue core to begin with, and there are other references of documentation available for the game porting itself. The old version of MTA:VC Blue also still exists, which can be referenced from as needed, as well. We just need more people working on this thing to make it happen! :)

Interested? Let me know! Post replies, PM's, emails, and MSN messages are all welcome! Help us make this a reality once and for all!

I can't help, but I'd love to see this happen too haha. I even had to re-visit the archived pages. Pretty neat seeing MTA 0.5r2 having an update last year.. Pretty funny, MTA:VC 0.5 came out right around when I started high school, and now I'm about to graduate college :D.

If anyone's interested at seeing the old Blue:
