Guest Posted September 30, 2003 Share Posted September 30, 2003 Hello. First of all, sorry if I post an already known "bug", but I weren't able to locate a similar post on the forum. I am new to running a MTA server, but I have however experienced that running it on FreeBSD (4.6/4.7) causes what I would call severe havoc to the server. As far as I have been able to find it, it interferes with dns lookups (atleast). That causes webserver, ssh, general hostlookups etc to fail and not being able to function before the MTA server is killed. Thanks God for the server admin tool to MTA!!! I tried two different servers and the same happened to both. On Debian it seems to so far run as supposed. Any ideas if I can get it to run properly on FreeBSD? Link to comment
