I downloaded MTA VC , I started the server config tool , it says , starting server now ,

NOTHING HAPPENS .

I manualy start server , says registering with ase if posible ...

does nothing....

My question is : is this normal?

My second question is , I want to host and play at the same time:

I have 2 pc's , connected trough an router with eachother.

Is it possible to play MTA VC trough that router ( Eminent )

?

ALL I WANT IS HOST AN GAME < AND JOIN IT < TO PLAY IT AGAINST MY FRIEND ON THE OTHER PC.

Please help

Nothing happens at first because no one is on the server

so

just start the Client and enter your local IP adress (beginning with 192.168.* or 10.*) Your friend should enter your IP adress as well

(assuming you have a local network through that router, like me

I'd just like to clarify something for you xhispage :)

There are 2 types of servers: dedicated servers, and normal servers.

When you run a dedicated server, other people can join it, but you don't automatically join it.

When you run a "normal" server, you automatically join it, and other people join it.

MTA uses the dedicated server. :)

Just run the dedicated server thing, get a server going (NOTE: if you're playing over a lan, don't use ASE reporting)

Start MTA.

In the IP box, type 'localhost' (without quotes).

hit connect, and you should be playing on your server :)
