please help me setup my server! centos server

i currently got a free linux centos 64bit server. the only issue is i have no expirence on linux and the guy offering me the server is just as useless as i am. if anyone can dontate a few hours of thier time and lead me in the right direction will pre greatly appricated thanks!

We've uploaded the files to the server but that's when we hit a brick wall. If u don't mind helping me aim account name is gvy. Again I'm useless when it comes to linux, I have zer0 expirence with the os. Pretty much I need to figgure out how to execute the sever and get it running

The simplest way is to install Debian instead of CentOS and follow this tutorial.

If you don't know anything about something - don't buy it! install virtual machine on own pc and give it a try before buying a server.

if you have this for free - just search google for some help and tutorials. There is WAY TOO MUCH to teach, so you will have to tech ur self

its all good that kid ended up losing the server for hosting torrents. w/e i got my own windows sever up and running now im trying to learn how to script lol
