MTA Sync

geny

Question

Well I've been wondering about this for a while.

I've sort of came to a conclusion in the past about how MTA's DM sync works. But occasionally when someone is running and I shoot them with a sniper/desert eagle, I can see my opponent being hit because they do a jerking animation but there would be no damage caused( no not cheats ). This would occasionally happen whenever I play DM servers but not to often to ruin the gameplay. So this really throws my conclusion out of the window and I question myself, how does MTA's DM sync work?

What probably makes MTA's sync so good (but not perferct) is the lag compensation. Whenever a remote player shoots your local player will get moved back to the position where he was when that player shot to compensate the time delay between sending and receiving of the shoot packet. This isn't really noticable in-game except from blood particles spawning somewhere off your player when getting hit.
