MTA 16bit? (crappy computer)

MTA only is playable on my ultra-powerful gaming rig at a 16 bit depth, because my poor old chipset doesn't really allow more than 3 FPS at a 32bit depth..., but on 16bits it works usually at around 20 which is MUCH better (very good for me ^^) It there a way to change that setting on MTA?

What about single-player? You can only set resolution in GTA without running MTA.

There was intended to be, like keyboard controls, but it didn't make it and was put it off for a latter version. Like controller support.
