Game crashes on server join. As soon as the load screen ends, to be exact.

More info on the crash, occurs in the d3dx9_30.dll module. Info provided by aru, but he cannot register :)

Newest news is that this is caused by GTA being run in compatibility mode inside Vista. Try disabling compatibility mode and try again.

Make sure you check your gta_sa.exe file for compatability mode, apparently mine was on for no good reason.

WinXP SP2

"Entering Game..." messageBox -> Loading GTASA Splash Screen -> Black Screen -> Crash... = this is with every depended EXE and shortcut toggled to Win98 compatibility.

QuickConnect MsgBox-> Fatal Error(3) - this one with every depended EXE and shortcuts left default with compatibility off.

Yep, really annoying & I'm a bit disappointed...

Really been waiting for the release some time now, though I'm SAMP addict

im getting this crash too.

i dont have any programs that monitor my drives constantly(virus and spyware)(i prefer to it manually)
