Playing together behind the same ip.. Is it posible?

Hey,

My boyfriend introduced me to MTA yesterday and I had lots of fun playing it. He was at my place with his laptop and we wanted to join the same server. Only the problem is I'm behind a router and to the world that causes us to have the same IP adress. So I want to know it there is a way we can join the same server when he is at my place or if that is imposible? I searched the forum, but only could find router problems concerning setting up servers. I would like to play against him and show him that he shouldn't mess with this little girl .

It is, you done need any tricks to do it

Maybe in some servers you might be kicked if there are 2 players with same IP playing, but not in my server

So it is a case of finding the right server. It does make me wonder how servers identify players. We only tried 1 server yesterday and then he tried to set up a server for us and I just let him fail at that and played the game. Maybe I should have helped him, but playing was to much fun. Well next time he is here we have to try again to find a server that won't kick one of us.

It should work on most servers. I dont see any reason for a server to intentionally filter out clones from the same IP, though they have the capability to do so.

some server owners assume that a 2nd ip connection might be a form of cheating, but its rather ridiculous for them to do so.

We constantly play MTA on the same IP, never had any problems

it works, but if one of you get banned, the other one can still be in the same server but he/she can't rejoin
