lil Toady
i dont really like the idea and im glad they have been taken off in mta0.x Link to comment
[TBB]Dr.Damnit
I actually like it, its very usefull for to make sure if someone is on your team when your playing a TDM map. Link to comment
bradfish
When i say i don't like them then I think about that color codes like the ones that can be used in games like Quake3, Call of Duty, Trackmania, ... But colored nametags for the members of a team, so that you know where to shoot at are really useful i think Link to comment
MaX_668
Now as you remind me .I got a question to mta team and Qa team.... how can you tell who’s on your team? Ofkors I am talking about mta:sa dm for those that didn’t know that lol Link to comment
Sprinter
Yea, in stuff like Team DeathMatch it would be good if the teams had different colours on their nametags. Link to comment
zerb
Even though it is useful, i feel the challenge comes from your knowledge without using the coloured nametags to help identify your team members, its the way personally i like playing, on the other hand some players would prefer to use that feature and i wouldnt say it couldnt be handy if introduced to the mod. CoZ
Its cool without them. if used well-example the team-vs-team then its ok .. but in general .. i'd say no .. its only cool. untill the point where every noob has a multicolored msn like nick PS .. StormaX .. do you realise the bottom image in your signature is 1/4 MB !! Link to comment

SDK
In my opinion, they should be colored if the map is a team dm. And the map creator has to set a team color Link to comment
gooch
why is it a bad thing to have Colored name tags? Link to comment
Silentlink
why is it a bad thing to have Colored name tags? I dont know what others think but my opinion is the following; SA-MP has it and it's pretty usefull when playing with about 5-10 people. Then you can see which individuals is who by looking at the scoreboard at hand and thereafter compare the name and color to the corrosponding one on the radar. But when more than 10 people join, people start to have the same colors which is undeniable annoying and highly inusefull. But honestly. Isnt it logical that they will, or already have implemented team-based name colors? Link to comment

Bladexen
What about for cops and robbers? Blue name tags for cops, white for innocent, and orange for wanted? Link to comment
epoxi
I think colours are better than having everyone white: it helps distinguish teams in team DMs and is better than nothing when finding a specific person using the map. Link to comment
Robix
And better would be somthink like /make 11 white So when your friend join and he have for EXMPL id 11 you make this comand and you see him with white blip. And you don't have to search all map like in sa-mp to find someone! Link to comment
rockstarrem
Or it could be by teams... the color changing (/color) thing would be strange to implement to me, maybe the admin could do it, but not very useful. Link to comment
epoxi
I like Robix's idea: that way you get to choose which players are highlighted/coloured, and hunt them down/watch them much more easily. And being a client-side feature, no more bandwidth would be used, and both the "all the same colour" activists and the "OMFG PRETTY COLORS" users could get on happily. Link to comment
