Going to fix a couple of bugs then I'll be releasing a semi-major update tomorrow; hopefully, will fix Linux support, and the script itself has been completely restructured making way for a future update.

I'm running it fine on debian jessie x64, just guessing but could it be a library issue? perhaps some of the x86/x64 libraries you normally need to get stuff working when playing with 64bit?

JS Vc V2 is almost done, still going around and doing final touches though. This has 98% rotational accuracy, smaller download size, quicker loading times better draw distance performance and streaming as well as alot of other additional fixes.

 

I'm going to finish up tomorrow and it'll be released. Sorry it took so long, was going to just update streamer and call it good but ended up completely redoing the conversion with my new converter I've been working on.

Major Update

- Better Streaming

- Linux fixed (hopefully, if not please report)

- More customization

- Much more accurate conversion

- New map location, uses regular VC offsets

- Updated to JStreamer V8

Works fine, need play on 1.5.4 + im tested the new version on 1.5.3 :D

First of all, thanks for the update, here are the bugs/errors I found.

Tested on MTA 1.5.4 server

Before starting I changed the meta, cause of errors, server couldn't find the following files:

- SObjectData.luac (was called SObjectData.lua in meta)

- CWaterData.lua (was called CWaterData.luac in meta)

 

Bugs (also shown on the image)

1. Lower quality of textures, (if the performance is improved because of that, then it's not a big problem for me)

2. There are still some water-areas floating in the air (and far from the sea it's more buggy)

3. I saw a building with an invisible texture (maybe there are more)

4. There are still billboards which need a better rotation

so nice to see vc again good job man keep up the hard work

a few issues i noticed in the vice city meta file as i mentioned in discord

1: ERROR: Couldn't find script Settings/SObjectData.lua for resource ViceCity

the file in the setting folder is .luac

2: ERROR: Couldn't find script Settings/CWaterData.luac for resource ViceCity

this file is .lua

 

while exploring the map i noticed an issue at the film studio

the fake moon landing set (lol) interior is placed on the wrong hangar

List of stuff and possible fixes -

- Lower quality of textures  - They are the same size as the previous ones actually

- There are still some water-areas floating in the air - Doesn't happen for me, I'll see if maybe I messed up the default water remover

- Invisible textures - Fake shadows MTAs alpha system is :Oed, I'll fix it

- Street signs I can fix but it's a huge pain in the butt to track down all the errors

- Film studio I noticed laughed at it and forgot

 

All around this is a more complete and better version of VC old version in no way looks better.

But it works now for Linux :D

This version looks better than previous 100% the map has been pretty much 100% converted over with nothing missing that was in the previous one.

Downloaded the latest patch and running on MTA 1.5.4 server with Race gamemode

Good job, I see that some bugs are fixed (meta, building texture, street signs).

 

There are still some bugs left.

Bugs I found in this version:

- Water bug still appears (both on the sea and land, same bug as shown on the picture from the previous post)

- When a new race-map starts, the old San Andreas mini-map/radar shows up (already appeared in previous version, forgot to report earlier)

- There are still some buggy textures and objects placed in the air (look at the image)

 

If this can be fixed, it's almost done in my opinion.

- Are you starting the map with the server (Did you put it in the config file?) because if so water bug may happen not my problem.

- As for bridge textures that's a 1:1 conversion from VC VCs fault, not mine

- And for the mall, I've tried my best to fix it but it MTA has a broken alpha system. Also missing wall reflection present with default VC I may make a fix for this later though.

- Race issue not my problem, MTAs default race toggles the radar again.

- Floating object (One floating object that's it) I didn't bother with because it's tiny I may fix it later.

- Linux Issue I tried my best somethings wrong that's all I can say.

In summary, 98%  of these bugs are either user error or VCs fault.

General things to avoid these problems -

 - Ensure the start the map either manually, or in a resource start AFTER the server starts

- Remove the radar toggle from MTA: Race or, you can add a toggle on the client render in the radar resource

Update :

-Reconverted everything from VC fixed a lot of prelighting issues

-Fixed missing seabed

-Added Custom_Corona support

-Fixed various texture issues

- Fixed floating plant

(Fixed everything @Stroth reported besides radar thing which is the fault of MTA: Race)

- 3 extra vehicles included VC: PD (LVPD)| Sentinel XS(Sentinel) and that DeLorean(Blista Compact) like vehicle

- Remastered radar
