    Anticheat.def

    This is due to server difficulties. Download it manually from http://www.mtavc.com/sar1_000.def and put it in server/mods/race as anticheat.def if neccessary. We'll release a server patch fixing this soon.

Try starting a server on port 22003, then start the MTA client, click Quick Connect, then input the following data: Host: localhost Port: 22003 If that works but you can't connect to it using your external IP (get it at http://www.whatismyip.com), then port 22003 UDP isn't forwarded correctly in your router (check http://www.portforwarding.com). If you can connect using your external IP, but it doesn't show up in ASE, verify that gameport + 123, or in this case, port 22126 is open in your router and is accessible from the internet and that ASE is enabled in the configuration file. Added: As we're having some difficulties with our web server, it has also been known that servers can get stuck in the "Connecting to update server..." stage. If it hangs there, go to your config and disable autoupdating of anticheat definition files. If you still want anticheat, download it manually from http://www.mtavc.com/sar1_000.def and put it in server/mods/race/ as anticheat.def. Verify that it doesn't output any errors about loading it.
  3. It probably spikes up when big maps are loaded (xml files parsed and loaded plus lots of data is tossed around). Not sure why constant high CPU usage can happen though. Try the server that comes with the client release or the Windows server up right now on light.mtavc.com. It was patched about 12 hours after it was released due to several problems with the binaries being UPX packed on win 2003.
  4. This is most likely due to the connection desyncing. This means you can receive stuff from the server but not the other way around. Server will detect you're "pausing" because it gets no packets from you and kick you. Why the connection desyncs is at the moment unknown but might be due to heavy bandwidth usage.

  9. It's only like that for planes I think. There is a height limit, but it's really high. It's limited to the max value a floating point value can have.
  10. Thanks At the moment, the limit is 350 objects, but eAi knows something that can increase the limit to several tousand objects that might be done for release 2.
  11. It'd be pretty cool to have a gravity option in .race files. It's not hard either, but I can't promise anything.

  21. Might not be so bad if you can buy garages on an RPG server and store your vehicles in it (locked for thieves). Gangs could share garages and apartements. SA is huge you know
