Most commonly used (I think) video capture for MTA is FRAPS, I can't remember the address for it but you can download the trial, it's fairly small in size too. Google is your friend.

Ignore Jacob, I'm sure everyone else does. I couldn't really get used to the keyboard either, what I do is I use my entire pad for driving, but on foot I use the directionals to walk, my start button (which is near the D-pad) to commander vehicles, my left shoulder button to jump, space bar to ride shotgun, my mouse to aim, LMB to fire, RMB to run and my scroll wheel for weapons. I'd use my pad for everything but the analog sticks on a logitech suck, they recalibrate every so often so I can't turn left and whatnot.

By classic mode, I'm guessing you're using target lock on, right? My girlfriend had this problem, it's due to the fact that either: This is considered a secondary firing mode (like switching to first person view/targeting) which doesn't work with the current core, or: You lock onto the sprite, but the person may actaully be a little off to the side, due to lag/desync, so you might be hitting them dead on, but on their screen you could be missing by inches. Best advice I can give you is what I gave her; switch to standard, it'll take a bit to learn but I can gaurantee your killcount will go up.

The mods'll be cool, no doubt, but as far as clans go, I'm sure most of them will stick with unmodded, or very few mods, at least with gangwars. Ya don't mess with perfection and don't fix what ain't broken, ya deeg?

It was said that everything should be synced in MTA blue, so it's more than likely that drive-bys will be in. The maximum any vehicle can hold is 4 people, but there's a trick that'll allow you to pack in as many people as you want, including on a bike. Everyone that wants on/in has to press the passenger key (default keys are home and V) at the right time.

That sounds like it'd be a game mode, and if you could make a mod for it, couldn't you maybe do something about the radar?

Suspected trainer usage, huh? This used to be an issue, people using things like MSN who happened to have people on their buddy list with trainer in their name would trigger the MTA trainer detection, this could possibly also apply to a open web page and other programs.

I think it'd be hella sweet if each clan could make a few custom skins (mmmmm, leather jackets with FKU on the back and red bandanas, woot!) but I see a lot of people don't wanna bother with the downloads for some quick frags. Is there a way to maybe make it a voluntary download, I.E. the skins are placed on a main host, say http://www.MTAskins.com, people could download from there, and if they joined a server, the MTA client looked in a custom skins folder and couldn't find a skin it'd just use a skin already in game?

Scorp, notice anywhere in your post you never answered the question? TooCrooked, I also use a gamepad (except for shooting) and as far as I know, the MTA ammu-nation doesn't recognize controllers. Use A and D to switch between weapons, W to buy and S to sell. It might not work if you changed the default keyboard controls. Have fun.

I had a problem with VC before, and the solution was painstakingly easy: after you uninstall, go to the directory it was in (usually c:\program files\rockstar games) and delete the folder, then reboot and reinstall, that should completely clean VC off so it'll be a completely fresh install. Also, if you wanna use mods and you have the room, you might wanna install two copies of VC, I.E. C:\programs\Rockstar Games\GTA Vice City MODDED, then C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA Vice City MTA Hope it helps.
