IIRC, the only file changed in the aussie version is the gta-vc.exe... I'm not certain about this, but using an american gta-vc.exe might fix it.

When that happens, you have to alt-tab and hit "Send Game Request". Then the credits will stop and you'll spawn.

The new walking anims do create a slight bit more work on a poor modem, however I have noticed a lower ping that with 0.22, so I'm not sure what's happening. Oh, and this should be in General MTA:VC Thread Moved

They couldn't add them, due to limitations of VC, silly n00b =) Um... The missing walls are fun. The airport with all it's fancy jumps is a real time-killer, and the parking garage at the marina (think cortez's boat).

Here's how it works: 5 people on a server. 4 nice, happy, players killing each other, and one EVIL cheater. The evil cheater wrecks all the other player's fun, so @admin comes to the rescue. Player A (I'm so imaginative) says to the chat: "@admin oy, there's a cheater on the server." "oy, there's a cheater on the server." gets sent over to an IRC chan (say... #theserverofbob), or /msg'ed to an admin on IRC. Admin comes, cheater goes, everyone wins. Easy to script, and effective. Of course, it'd also have /msg the IP address of the person who uses @admin to the admin, so as to stop abuse.

Actually, you can still be shot at through a car's windows, but the crouch-glue idea is great. No M-60 buses. =)

A golf mode... Hmm... It'd be cool, but it's too much work for a small benefit, and it would be impossible to have it operate well.

The problem with the hunted mode is that the majority of the time is spent asking "DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE HE IS?". It's very frustrating. It's more of a hide-and-seek game mode than a hold-out-against-them-running-away sort of thing. However, we were playing on a large server (about 14 people), so it was more difficult. A small game of 6 players or less would suit the game mode well. The cops vs. robbers IRC script is perfect for those larger games of 8+ though, so it's all covered I suppose.

Afraid there is no such spot. The problem is that the person can just change their name, so you'd have to be able to get their IP address, and even then they can get past that.

Not many people play GTA3:MTA any more... Though it sounds as though you already know that. Fortunately, work on GTA3:MTA 0.4 is moving forward, so soon we may be able to grace the streets of LC again =D
