Just out of interest, is there a sword pick-up on MTA? If so, where is it? Also once you have blown up the shop in North Point in the normal game, I can't seem to find a sword pick-up. Can anyone help me with either?

I have contacted Fraps support (I actually got a reply from the guy who made it), and it's all fixed. Somehow my version of Direct X was corrupted slightly - I just needed to re-install the latest version. PS I'm only posting this on here for people who have a similar problem in the future.

Nope. You didn't get my point. I wasn't trying to help with the problem. I was just curious about why you would wanna rip them when you have them available with the original quality in the movies folder.. Btw. Try other buttons. I use F9, and I have no problems. I'm not trying to rip the intro sequences - please read my previous posts a little more carefully.

You seem to be missing the point - Fraps is working in those two intro sequences, but not in the game. I want to get movies of some in-game footage, but Fraps doesn't show the framerate or respond to F8 (or F10).

I don't think they're saying that they want them blowing up in game - just in an already blown up state.

I have reinstalled both VC and Fraps - nothing. I would use 1.9d (or b), but I've paid for this - it should work .

I have the full version of Fraps 2 (yes, fully paid for) and the framerate appears during the two intro screens (R* and credits), but not in the menus or game proper. I've searched the forums. but couldn't find the same problem. Any ideas? The weird thing is that when I had the demo version, it worked fine

hmm - should I tell them? I completed VC 100% within a week of buying the game. Granted, I had absolutely nothing else to do and I spent nearly every waking hour playing it.

That would explain why in my endless searching I haven't been able to find one

Thanks - I did that as part of my reinstall But it'll be a lot quicker if there is a next time to do it that way.

Well I don't know what it is because I re-installed VC and the same save-games work perfectly now. Strange. Thanks for the help any way. MrBump - no it was always 1.0.

Update: I have noticed that this only happens in saved games. If I start a brand new game, there are cars and peds. I think I'll do a reinstall - see if that helps.

What about having more modes in the game? That way each server can choose which mods they have running by which mode they start the server in. This also means that players don't have to download and install each mod - they just need the latest version of MTA.

To clarify - all the normal parked cars (and people are there), but not random peds or cars. So the biker outside of the biker bar is there (with two Angels), but there are no cars or pedestrians roaming around. Yes I'm sure it's not MTA:VC. Always safe to ask though

Help! I've been playing MTA:VC for a while and I thought I'd go back to normal GTA:VC and half-way through driving to somewhere, I noticed that there wasn't any peds Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? [edited title - added 'or cars']
