  1. And links to http://www.mIRC.com and http://www.aeron.tk Then edit it, you crackhead
  2. That's not possible - phpBB does not store anyone's password, it stores the MD5 hash. You cannot get someone's password from that.
  3. Yeah that HoeKey is a very good program, in fact I found it for Jax. You can set it up to control WinAmp and/or WMP with hotkeys too, so you can change tracks while playing a fullscreen game. Second, this tournament is going to stay with MTA 0.3. I'm sorry I haven't been around - I have been finishing my masters dissertation (a very big report). I finish at the end of this week and so I will be much more active then. I will arrange matches for FMJ and try to wake up the other clans. @ VCK: unfortunately, since chode neglected to add you in time, you're going to have to wait till the second round to join.
  4. Well none of the Blog stuff filters through here. If people aren't aware of the blog or don't read it, they have no idea what is going on.
  5. At the moment they are only developing MTA:SA, however once the work on SA has slowed down they will probably get some of the team working on VC. The beauty of the Blue platform, that they have been developing, is that it makes it easier for them to develop a version for VC.
  6. No he's not - he's just moving house. There's always hope.
  7. That is possibly the worst idea I've ever heard.
  8. They both are. He's not bothered by it. I think the reason was that his parents couldn't have children.
  9. No, not famous. He's just the singer in a band called Elison - I don't think they've even been signed yet.
  10. I have no idea if this is still in the plans but when the information about Blue first came out, they were talking about easy ways to do particle systems in the VC engine (remember the Mr. Whoopee with red stars coming out the back?). That would probably be easily changed to look like smoke (especially since the stars were slightly transparent - you could simply put the opaque value up).
  11. Yeah they mentioned that in the blog. They said it's simply loading the car models, so they just need to preload them at the start of the game and it should stop the skips.
  12. Capone signed them up only 11 days ago. Since you're not from DNA, I'd rather hear it from them. Dom didnt ya get my PM? DNA are abit inactive in the GTA side , so can ya take DNA out mybe replace us with TTH? No I'm afraid I didn't. But at least these problems are sorted now. DNA has been replaced with TTH.
  13. I am very sorry for this. The first post was updated, but TTH wasn't added to the website. Unfortunately once the round has started a clan cannot be forcefully added (to protect other clan's scores), so unless another clan is unable to play, you will have to join in the next round. Capone signed them up only 11 days ago. Since you're not from DNA, I'd rather hear it from them. However, if it is true, it would solve our problem with TTH.
  14. Hi, I'm back from my holiday, so I think we should get this underway as chode said. We've got 8 definite gangs: FMJ DNA FsK XII UVA RP PCP bTk That's perfect for 2 groups of 4. Once the league has begun, any gangs who join afterwards are put in a new group at the bottom. The system has been designed to do all of this automatically. Example: If a team join after it starts, they do not participate in the current round. When a new round is started, they are put in the place of the bottom clan of the current bottom group. That clan then forms a new group by itself. Since there are no other teams in their group, they effectively miss out a round, but they are automatically promoted in the next round. This means that one team will have no matches in each round, but get promoted for the next round. If more than one team joins, then they can play each other in the bottom group. We're waiting till you are 100% sure Okay... here goes: I officially declare the MTA 0.3 Playback League open! The website has chosen which of the 8 clans will be in the 2 groups and generated the needed matches. Clans will play each of the teams in their group 2 times (6 matches altogether) in this first round. See the Results/Fixtures page for upcoming matches. Also visit the Tables to view how each clan is doing in their group. Here are the groups: Group 1 bTk DNA UVA XII Group 2 FMJ FsK RP PCP We realise that this is something fairly different and we'll need to get used to it, so these matches will be played over the next 2, 3, or 4 weeks depending on how everyone responds to it. If clans could arrange matches and inform chode or myself so we can have a ref available for the match, that would be great. If a clan needs help getting in touch with their opponents, please contact one of us (through the forum pm system, or msn if you have them ). Have fun!
  15. Just to clarify that - I'm not away right now (evidentally), but I am away from the 10th to the 15th and it's obviously not going to start in the next 4 days .
  16. Game will just be MTA:SA (or later MTA:VC), so the only thing that will change is the map, which is what I'm talking about. This is exactly the sort of problem we don't want to have. "re" is a terrible prefix for racing - we want to clarify the mod type rather than make it even more puzzling. And "chld"? Come on - it's only three more letters to chiliad. I think some guidelines need to be set out from the start - it's just sensible. Oh just thought of another mod type - rc (remote control vehicles ).
  17. In Counter Strike each map has a prefix describing the type of gameplay: cs - counter strike - the original map name, CTs have to rescue hostages de - defuse - the Ts have to plant a bomb and the CTs have to defuse it as - assassination - there is a VIP on the CT team and they must protect him es - escape - Ts have to escape from the CTs Custom maps have followed this naming system and created more prefixes such as aim, fun, surf, ka, kz and so on, all meaning specific types of map. I personally think we should have a similar system with add-on names for blue. This way people can search for specific types of add-on in the server list. So the first race mod might be called race_robada or ra_desert or something like that and other types of add-ons would have suitable prefixes. Here's a list of what I think are suitable prefixes: dm - death match stunt - stunt mods race - race mods rp - role play or we may want more specific names like cr for cops and robbers aim - aiming mods ctf - capture the flag match - mods specifically for matches etc. The great thing about GTA is that there are so many possibilities for gameplay types, but a mod name like chiliad doesn't really give any clue as to what type of mod it is, only the location. Giving it a name like race_chiliad or para_chiliad (parachute) would make more sense. The reason I'm posting this is that I think we should decide a system before Blue is released so that we don't get a load of mods at the start without it. So... thoughts? ideas?
  18. This is a brilliant response to the community - it will certainly keep people coming back to check on a regular basis and sustain interest in MTA until the next version is released.
  19. No prize - it's mainly for fun. Plus we're still deciding between a knockout and a ladder, or maybe even some other form of competition. Knockout Pros All competing teams have at least three matches (if we use a group system like international football tournaments). Has a final winning team. Cons Once a team is knocked out, it has no more matches. Ladder Pros Teams can have matches when they want - it never ends. Cons Teams are not required to play. It's a more complicated system. I think the problem with both is that teams either stop playing matches because of the format (knockout), or because they don't need to (ladder). Maybe what's needed is some sort of half way house.
  20. UZI? Are you still here? BTW I think you mean Bombsite A in your location, not Bombside.
  21. I wonder which clans will refuse to play over some stupid rules. It's like a kid taking his ball home because the other kids are playing one touch, one bounce instead of catch. Grow up.
  22. I like that second guage because in one glance you can see both values fairly easily. With darkwing's idea, it might not be accurate because you can lose health without losing armour (when you fall a long way for instance), or you can get an armour pickup without getting a health pickup. With this method if the guy has little health you can see that, like so: [lllllllll] The total width of the guage would give you can idea how much you need to shoot the other guy.
  23. It seems to me that when we had all pickups rule and playing against clans like VCES there was a shorter set-up time than with the shotty only rule against some other clans. Imagine how long it would take to wait for those clans to go around the whole map shopping - a three round match would take over two hours easily.
