  2. MTA Server Launch Delay Hi, It's great to see that the word has been spreading about the launch of our MTA server. With that I'd like to welcome everyone and thanks for joining us. We previously announced that we had planned to release the server on the 14th of August, in less than a week from now. Unfortunately, I have been deliberating with the rest of the Upper Administration Team for the past week about delaying the launch of our server. Having carefully discussed this, we have decided to delay the launch of the server. We know everybody is eager to jump back into roleplaying as quickly as possible and we are just as excited to do so ourselves. We made this decision for the overall benefit and health of the server. Now, you may ask one question; why have you decided to delay the launch of the server? We'll talk about that right now in as much detail as we can. We have so many great ideas and plans for the structure of our staff teams and how we're going to implement certain aspects into the server. Things that will ultimately drive roleplay and encourage you to roleplay with as much freedom as possible. We're doing our best to make sure that both Legal and Illegal roleplayers have a variety of different options available to them, as limitless as possible. This is one of the most important things that we need time to work on, and the extra time to get it right is very much needed. This just requires a little bit more planning and documentation on our end. One of the other reasons why we decided to delay is to allow our Development Team extra time in order to improve and adjust certain areas of the script. It will give us time to iron out potential issues regarding the structure and most importantly performance of the server. We want to make sure that you experience flawless roleplay without any interruptions. Lastly, we feel as if we may have jumped the gun whenever we first went public with our community. Announcing a release date so soon after having done so. While we may have been able to wing it and go ahead with launch, we feel as if we might have missed out on some of the things we've listed above, which are very important to the first impressions and life-span of the server. With the additional time, we hope that it will be of more benefit that it will allow players who have not yet discovered us, to hear about what we're doing and jump on-board. We are currently working on a server trailer that we hope will help bring old players back to roleplaying on MTA and even help create a bridge for new players, who have yet to experience the best roleplay we all know and love, on MTA. With that being said, to those who have been eager for the server to launch, we thank you for joining us and hope that you will continue to bare with us while we approach the new release date, which is set for the 28th of August 2021. We will take the time between now and then to work on the things listed above. If you have any questions, queries or concerns about anything related to the community, feel free to let us know on the forums or via discord. Best Regards, Phoenix MTA, Upper Administration Team.

  5. We are a small team with thousands of hours of game-time on various communities on the MTA platform and we all have the same goal - creating a roleplaying environment that is enjoyable, accessible and most importantly fair for everyone. Each of us have all held a administrative or leadership role within popular roleplaying servers in the past which has given us an in-depth understanding of all aspects within roleplay - civilian, legal, illegal and government. Founder and Community Owner Hey I'm Dexter and I'm the Community Owner of Phoenix Gaming. A little bit about my roleplay experience in general first. I've been roleplaying since 2008. I first found out about it via a video on youtube back around that time, so I installed San Andreas Multiplayer (SAMP) on my family PC and tried it out. I played on a ton of different roleplay servers, including; LS-RP, RC-RP and PLA. I think the one I played the most was PLA where I racked up around 5,000 hours on it. I spent my time in Law Enforcement on it for the most part. Going back and forth between different servers. This all changed when a friend of mine convinced me to download Multi Theft Auto (MTA) and join a new server called OwlGaming back in early 2014. Little did I know this place would change the next 7 years of my life. I immediately joined the LSPD within like a few days of playing on the server. Between being in the LSPD and SAHP, this is what I spent most of my time roleplaying, eventually becoming a member of staff, starting with; Supporter and then swiftly moving up the ranks to the Administration Team and then eventually becoming a member of OwlGaming's Upper Administration Team. I was leading the Game Administration Team with 2 other UAT members at the time, which consisted mostly of us maintaining the administration teams effectiveness. Other duties included server-wide revamps and projects to take on, to improve roleplay on the server and do our best to manage the server. I met my fair share of people and made some amazing friends along the way. To this day, I still play games and talk with a lot of the people I met playing on OwlGaming and to me that's what it's all about, making friends and having a good time roleplaying, so hopefully we can make that happen here too. As I did this, I also worked hard on my roleplay and time in the LSPD, which also brought me up to the rank of Assistant Chief of Police. From the years of playing on OwlGaming I was very well known in the community and I was always fair to people and that's why I was very well liked. I dealt with and experienced a ton of different types of roleplay during my time there, which gave me a very broad understanding of them. I have to say it was some of the best times I've ever had, over the span of 4 years, eventually departing the server due to college commitments. With this experience, I hope to bring here what I learned over the years and expand on it even more to make it the best experience for everyone. To this day, even though the community is now closed, I still hold the most hours played on a character, who was Dexter Collins (4,619 hours), so you just might have seen me around some time! Moving on, the same goes for everyone currently on my team, people who I met during my time on OwlGaming, that I trust and that have experiences similar to mine. Game Administration Team My first roleplay experience was in a community called owlGaming back in 2014. It was overwhelming, the possibilities that it offered me were countless and I absolutely loved it. I loved what the community offered me, the fact that I could become anything I wanted, do whatever I wanted, on a character I wanted to display. For me, it was like writing a book on a character you have created, a story which you will write as hours and hours go within the game. Initially, I chose the path of law enforcement roleplay, which I enjoyed extensively, briefly doing illegal on the side. I also became a part of the staff team, becoming a supporter, and later up to the rank of game administrator. Besides owlGaming I have also been a part of projects such as Vice City Roleplay, Emerald Gaming and Project Roleplay where I have held more management responsibilities, mostly setting up Faction Management teams. With this community, Phoenix MTA I hope to relive my past experiences on the playform and offer other players an enjoyable roleplay experience. Supporter Team I've been roleplaying on MTA since early 2014 and have since continued to do so, accumulating thousands of hours. Although I have primarily stuck with legal roleplay throughout the many years, I later decided to step into the illegal side of things for the sake of knowledge. I think it's extremely important to understand how both sides function, and the impacts they have on the server. Aside from delving into both sides of roleplay for countless hours, I wanted to further expand on understanding and contributing to the server/community's health, development, and enjoyment. I began my journey as a member of staff in late 2014, learning and contributing as much as I could to the community. Although some people may find assisting other players a very tedious and boring task, I thoroughly enjoyed it. So much so that I was consistently the top report handler within the Supporter Team, which in turn led me into the Game Administration Team. I continued to work extremely efficiently and effectively in terms of player assistance, accumulating "report handled" numbers that were in the thousands. Fast forward a year or so, I was then part of the Upper Administration Team, responsible for handling the Supporter Team. I diligently worked on improving the team in all areas, and continued to do so for about another year or so. I was then promoted and responsible for handling the Game Administration Team. Long story short, my experience on roleplay servers, whether they be in-character or out, have been nothing short of incredible and fun. I look forward to doing the same here at Phoenix Gaming, and I hope every member of this community feels at home! Faction Team (Legal) I have been roleplaying since late 2007 and started my adventure on SAMP. I have played at Everlast Gaming, which laid the foundation for my RP qualities and skills. I have been at numerous communities throughout the years, including LSRP, Valhalla Gaming, and other SAMP communities till about 2014, when I started playing on the MTA client, finding my place at OwlGaming where I became a Game Administrator. At OwlGaming I was an Admin on and off from 2015-2017 if I recall correctly. In early 2020 I joined the Project Roleplay Community and was a Game Administrator there till it's eventual collapse. I have been roleplaying in both spheres and started my RP journey in the illegal domain with Bloods being my first faction to join back in early 2008. I have experienced everything from normal gang RP to organised crime, roleplaying in both an Irish and Italian Cosa Nostra style crime family. Upon joining OwlGaming I grew tired of the criminal sphere and wanted to switch things up so I joined the Highway Patrol and later the LSPD. I led for some time Gangs and Narcotics within LSPD and later joined The Federal Task Force at Owlgaming. I briefly was in the Marshall faction before it was disbanded by FMT. Faction Team (Illegal) I started role playing back in 2012 on Garry’s Mod and then moved onto MTA in 2014. I’ve been a part of many different roleplaying communities on MTA, all of which I participated in and or led illegal factions. Pretty much any kind of illegal organization or gang or clique you can imagine, I have portrayed. With my experience in how illegal roleplay operates in all different forms, I decided I could use this knowledge to facilitate it from an out of character position. Myself, Kevin and ElMariachi were the original creators of what is now known as the Virtual Market system. Believe it or not, this system of passively roleplaying for FMT payouts was created in 2015 and was meant to be a placeholder until a script was made. Here we are in 2021 and we’re still using the barebones idea we created 6 years ago, however I am always doing my best to keep evolving the system. I’ve led FMT on multiple servers and my goal has always been to support the roleplay of others and to create an enjoyable environment. It’s time to make MTA great again and it's my mission here to show you what real immersive roleplay looks like. We offer a game world for everyone to play in, relive their fantasies or just bring back good memories from the past. Our highly experienced team is here to encourage all sides of roleplay, legal, illegal and government. Leaving one side more superior and focused with features scriptwise can result in a loss of incentive to play other roles, so making one role just as enjoyable as the next is key. The scripts used in our server are the same many of you are already familiar of. The major role of every roleplaying community. Illegal roleplayers are the heart and soul of creating exciting roleplay opportunities for other players such as gangs, large factions, shootouts and the general illegal atmosphere. When attempting to achieve a perfect balance between all sides of roleplay, legal RP plays a major role. Be it a bar, club or a trucking service - it's going to be a pleasant experience for company leaders, employees and entrepreneurs. Everything you need is going to be accessible in-game, such as creating a faction by going through the typically mundane process of acquiring a business license from the government. Government factions such as Los Santos Police Department, Los Santos Fire Department, the municipal Government and many others also exist in our gameworld, giving the player a freedom of choice when choosing what to do. Together, we will revive roleplay on the Multi Theft Auto platform!
