  1. At this moment in development there is only one vehicle type allowed per race, as defined in the races config. So multiple vehicle types per server, as long as the server is running multiple races.

the only way there would be hydras or something in the race, is if you defined it in the .race file.

people continuelly ask for a "early beta" to play with while we continue development, think of the race mod as that. Giving you guys something to toy with while we work on DM.

  2. You can create your own races. start, finish, and markers. These are all configured with the server configuration.

As ransom said, we have decided to include some dog fighting for those of you who's trigger finger is starting to get itchy. Basically everything with planes and helicopters works perfectly, so it should provide for some really intresting and fun dog fights. (trying to dodge homing missles anyone?)

The racing by itself is incredebly fun i think. The dog fighting is just iceing on the cake. It is really insanely fun to be flying hydras with 4 or 5 other people with homing missles flying every direction... dodging, doing loops, and flips trying to loose the guy tailing you...

If you have a lot of questions, i deffinetly suggest checking out the blog, you can find a lot more technical information there.

  3. We have been working very hard on MTA:SA over the past few weeks. One of our achievements is the development of an admin system to coincide with MTA:SA. The system allows extensive remote administrative control over the server and the players. This admin system greatly improves the ease of running and administrating an MTA:SA server.

We have made great strides in the race mod, net code, and we have also greatly increased the functionality of the core to help support user modifications. Synchronization is now considerably better then what was originally shown in the first development video. We will be releasing another development video in the next few weeks to show our progress with synchronization and other general improvements.

We are currently implementing a developer blog which we hope to use to keep the community up to date about the development process of MTA:SA. These will be smaller updates instead of a synopsis as appears here on the news. We hope to have this ready and released within a few weeks.

Many people have been questioning how we will handle the situation with San Andreas' rating change. We will be continuing to develop MTA:SA while Rockstar develops a patch for the current game and while they develop an M rated version.

Community input has always been vital to the Multi Theft Auto development process, and with MTA:SA it is no different - we welcome all comments and suggestions in our forums

We would also like to mention that our official MTA 0.5 EU servers are now being hosted by http://www.e-frag.co.uk.

    Official European MTA Servers:

    83.142.52.30:2003 - VC DM - 12 player

    83.142.52.30:2004 - SSV - 12 player

    83.142.52.30:2005 - VC Stunt - 12 player

  4. I hope that you guys are as excited about Downtown and the new developments publicly released today as we are.

We know that all of you have been asking for pedestrians and Massivly multiplayer, so we came upon the idea of Downtown. I will admit it wasn't my idea, but i am strongly for it and can't wait to see what you guys think of it.

  5. you have deffinetly progressed with your editing and with your stunts although you still have a ways to go. Keep up the good work.

There were plenty of times you could have synched the music and the stunt and it seemed you over looked that. Synching the music will add a HUGE element to your videos.

Also, try naming your videos something other than "stuntvid3". Thats not very original, and if you do make an awesome video next time, people will have a hard time remembering the title if its just called "stuntvid".

Also, speed up the video a little bit, the video seemed like it was running in slowmo the whole time (alot of people have this problem). The video will seem ALOT more action packed and fun if you speed it up to "gameplay" speed, not too fast, but not too slow either.

Its the best vid you have done so far, and you have progressed very well. Hope you keep up the good work.

  6. must have edited the post right as you said that lol

~ A Screen Shot is sufficient for Height and Distance, since most stunts are going to be very long in these categories

~ A Video fitting the normal guidlines is required for rotation and flips, unless it is extraordinarily long.

I am not sure if i should seperate the faggio in its own nitro category

i don't want TOO many categories

  7. stfu blade.... i just looked at all of your posts and you seem like quite a ass, so i think your gonna get banned sometime soon.

    BURN!

    now back on topic,

I have two servers running, both on the same machine with windows 2000 installed.

I have stopped the disconnect problem on my servers by using the external IP (64.139.247.9) address instead of using the local IP (192.168.*.* or 127.0.0.1).

I have the exact same situation with the MTA client, when i use a local IP it will disconnect occasionally, but when i use the Global IP it will stay connected forever.

Just curious, if your having the problem with the disconnect of MTAma, are you using a local IP or global IP to connect?
