At least in 0.3, you could chose whether or not to involve yourself in a stubby war if you spawned as another class. Now, they're alot harder to avoid. it's like a vaccuum. Other classes that show up usually switch to robber if they get killed at a stubby war.

If he showed the file extentions, then maybe you could get away with calling him a pirate. For all you know, those are URL's to the websites.

Doubtful, since you have different IPs. It's something else doing it. Most likely a router built-in to your modem.

What is your Computer's LAN IP? What make/model is your modem? Your best bet is to read the manual.

Most gaming places refer to VC as "GTA3 Vice City." Never once heard it called GTA4. 'Nuff Said.

jacoB, I'd put money that your DSL modem has a built-in Router/Firewall. If your PC is saying it has an IP that's different than your Internet IP, so there's definitely something between there. Using AOL software has absolutely nothing to do with your problem.

GTA-VC and MTA work perfectly fine for me under XP SP2.

Please, spare me the insults. I've played with this bot. It's not nearly as good or as threatening as people who have only read about may think. And, like I said, I've been playing alot of MTA since this bot started and the last time I saw it on a public server was even before this thread had been started. I don't see it "taking over" anywhere. Why? Because the thing is an easily noticable annoyance that nobody wants anymore. The thing was a novelty. It wore off. Now it's popularity is gone like a fart in the wind.

This thing is easy as pie to detect. At this stage, I would only consider it a novelty since it's so rudimentary. But it definitely has potential to become an all-out cheat (WHICH I WOULD NOT USE TYVM). Also, it gets boring VERY quickly, so the popularity among legit players will just blow right on over within a few days.

Just a heads-up. Hammer here was on the VC Official yesterday, trying to recruit a speedhacker and asking to send him the cheats. EDIT. Xcon corrected me on the server. He was there too.

Yeh this just happened to me earlier after I /kill'ed while bein a spectator.

One of the best things about MTA, or GTA in general, was that go-wherever, do-whatever kind of attitude, and I feel abit of that has died in 0.4. I for one ain't gonna switch servers just to have a race or do some stunts if I want a little break from killing. Plus, the jumps and stuff kinda ruin the challenge IMO.

Just be sure you can really tell the difference between sync issues and cheats, because I've already run into other "cheat hunters" that don't have a fkin clue what they're looking for. Myself and a handful of other reputible players have already been pegged as "cheaters" by these idiots. I've seen a few of the videos, and it's quite laughable to say the least.
