  1. Well you don't need to be a math magician for that, all you gotta do is to count the characters in one single line and then insert a line break character, usually \n, not sure if it works on all controls in MTA tho but at least it works on labels like in this example from GTW: guiSetText(labelInfo, "Enter your friends account name \nto send him/her an invite bonus\nof $4'000 as a reward.")
  2. I'm trying to figure out what option would be cheaper between a $7 VPS or a shared plan from $1, Without knowledge about what servers you're using in the shared environment what amount of performance may I expect to get there? any recommendations? and please don't just suggest a VPS because it's more expensive thanks.
  3. You could rent a Windows server 2012 machine from Vultr to test stuff where you need multiple players, it's also a virtualization based solution. Not free tho but if you only need it a few hours it won't cost you more than a few cents. http://www.vultr.com
  4. See this: https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/Installing_and_Running_MTASA_Server_on_GNU_Linux, there's everything you need to know.

    Hosting Solution

Bitcoins works fine in Tunisia too, although only a few hosts supports it like 99stack and possibly a few more I've haven't heard about yet.
  6. You should check so that the player is in a team at all or cancel the function. If he's not in a team then you can't get the name of that team at all.
  7. Wow, no response there since 2014. I mean this can't be that hard to solve can it? and there must be more than you and me who are interested in this feature.
  8. I've been installing some car mods for my new server by using the modloader resource, both the mods and the handling is installed with no errors but I can't figure out how to apply the second line which I usually put in vehicles.ide when modding in single player that also includes the wheel size. Does anyone know how to edit vehicles.ide server side? I've already checked setVehilceHandling, there's no flags for wheel size there as far as I can see.
  9. What are you trying to do? 0.5 in z won't change much (that's up and down btw), plus that getElementVelocity won't always get the exact speed of the element
  10. MTA team can't close servers, contact the host and include solid proofs. Although most hosts won't give a shit anyway, they just want as much money as possible.
  11. If there is 20 posts/month how much effort is that in matter of time? i.e how constructive do my posts have to be or can I just spam any shit I want, does the page load fast? Is your service stable so that it doesn't stops working or disappears suddenly? My alternative solution is to use a bitcoin faucet and then choose a host that accepts bitcoin but will this require less time from me and still deliver the same quality as a paid host? Time is all that matters for me beside money as I wanna put as much effort in my server as possible to ensure it's good.
  12. It's just 1 line for each control you want to disable, here's the control names: https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/Control_names
  13. With this you can disable usage of controls and thus archive what you want: https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/ToggleControl
  14. You're not alone mate, I know this web host called 000webhost which gives you a good free host for your website/forum. https://www.000webhost.com/. For the server part it's harder tho as it's usually more expensive than a single website. But generally there are no free hosts on this area that doesn't suck so you need to find a paid host, don't worry there are very cheap options here as well. I consider www.99stack.com/overview for myself, I don't know any cheaper solution but there might be. The main reason I consider it is because they accept bitcoins as payment: So if that works I'll either get the cheapest possible solution around without loosing the quality of the service or I'll even make money. I'll keep everyone updated when I've tested if my idea really works or if I'm too optimistic.
  15. Do you have anything that goes for less than $10/month and if so, do you accept bitcoins as payment? It doesn't matter if it's shared, VPS or dedicated, anything that could host a small mta server for development would be fine.
