  1. Majority of the cheaters out there are just stupid kids. They know nothing about hacking; they just use trainers that have been provided to them. This is obviously due to the lack of adequate anti-cheat protection. There are so many people who have bypassed the MTA Team's precious CRC Checks. I suggest that the task of anti-cheat protection be left separate from MTA. If MTA Anti-Cheat was left as a separate project of its own, with a separate team that is working on it, it would be updated more frequently because the task of cheat prevention would be their only goal. Because it would be updated quickly, new cheats would not be able to last very long. I believe eAi started such a project, but he does not appear to be too motivated in finishing it. Even though you all seem to be patting yourselves on the back for your solution which will be in MTA 0.4, you must assume it will be cracked in days. Should someone crack your anti-cheat protection, and there is always the likely possibility that this will happen, the chaos will continue. Cheaters are literally taking control of the servers. The banning system is not good enough to ban them permanently. Wake up and smell the roses. It is either cheaters win, which simply means that the problem gets so big that the MTA project falls apart, or you take away their cheats. For good. So rather than trying to assure me that the cheating will end at 0.4, you should overkill, do much more, even if it is later found to be unnecessary, to eliminate this problem.
  2. Finally!! You have no idea how long I have waited for this moment! At last, a real game to play. Who needs MTA? MWS is so much better.
  3. Sounds like a good idea. It is quite a limitation that the admin scripts are only limited to Windows because of their dependence on mIRC. The cross platform admin program would be a definate plus.
  4. I see you didn't do so well in Geography :-/ ちょっと 日本語を話します。 Oops
  5. Whenever you assume anyone with a test score better than yours cheated
  6. I just find it rather odd that you would spend your time writing such an article when you have already made the 1-year MTA site as well as the video, which pretty much say the same thing as that article. Isn't that a little much?
  7. ...you wrote a history article for a mod that is a little more than 1 year old and some admin script that is only a few months old. That is like a 7-year-old writing an autobiography. Weak.
  8. I believe the "Browser" tab was implemented so you could open the forums in another tab (If you click the Forum link, that is what happens), but it is kind of weird that this could be exploited (Whether intentionally, I don't know) by the popup. DracoBlue's financial trouble is his own problem. If he is doing this intentionally, then it is rather low that he would force players indirectly to contribute to his wallet just so he can afford to keep his website running. I have never seen any other mod project do this before. Draco has dug his own ditch, and he is forcing us to help him climb out of it.
  9. You know, if anyone would bother to use search, they would find that I have posted the link to this utility several times in the past.
  10. mushroom! mushroom!
  11. But apparently you can't. He means that the problem is lag. If you play on a server that is closer to you, you get less lag and you have a smoother game. If Europeans play on a European server, they will all have better games. However, if they play on an American server, they might have lag related problems.
  12. A n00b is an arrogant someone that feels he has the right to set the standards for which one is considered a "n00b".
  13. I'm pretty confident that simple cheats / hacks like flooding will be abolished in 0.4 Yeah, but who knows how much damage will have been done by then. I hate to sound pessimistic, but to think cheating was a problem that was barely mentioned in 0.1.
  14. Oh great, now cheaters rule the servers.
  15. Unfortunately server 0.3.1 doesn't say 0.3.1 in the version box in ASE. Would be good to know which servers are vulnerable and which are not.

    Lame Loosers

I often wonder whether some people are as stupid in reality as they sound online...

    Voice Chat In Game

Yeah, right. It would give me a headache to hear 12-year-old CS players spamming the voice comm and wasting my bandwidth as a result. I don't think the MTA Team will go to great lengths to implement voice chat just so you can make your presence known and feel important.
  18. http://www.gta3mods.de/gtavc_tools.php You can find the latest version of GTASCRadio there. Works great.

    Request

Why can't you just update your version rather than asking the team to use an older one?
  20. Yeah, but you haven't read the client. I would think that "Start Game" would be kind of hard to miss, especially with the major GUI changes from 0.1 to 0.3 :-/

    Script-Server

    No DOS. Use Linux
  22. It was probably commented out on purpose. It is no mistake.
  23. Can't you give him some credit? Why is everyone so against Gtat? You haven't received a new client yet because things are still in a funny state called development. Draco looks like he is working hard on his project and putting a lot of time and effort into making a good mod. Development takes time. Case and Point: http://www.aut2k3.com That's the Action Unreal Tournament 2003 mod's website. They have been in development without a single public release for more than one year. They have kept a lot of things under wraps, but I know they are doing their job because I have seen the two awesome mods that they made before they started this project. You know nothing of DracoBlue's abilties. You guys really oughta stop making judgements out of ignorance.

    MTAVC problem

Most of the time this has happened when the server was lagging.
