No, not just CTRL+ALT+DEL, because then it just opens the task-manager. You have to end the task BLIND because it cant show the windows desktop. All you see is the frozen game.. Thats what i was trying to tell you! Another chance is CTRL+ESC, arrow up, ENTER, ENTER then the system should shut down. (thats better then doing a reset)

as i already said in the other topic of Allyson. If he was NOT warned, he is right! I mean think about it: There is a game, there are rules.. Allyson was doing something which was not said to be not allowed at that time. He did it because he wanted to see what happens (curiosity is human). I dont think it is such a delinquency what he did. But thats not even the point. He says he was not warned, and that IS NOT OK! BUT: Banning cheaters and people using a trainer without warning IS OK i think! Because: When a cheater is playing MTA:VC he knows that he can be banned from a server. If there would always be a warning for these people, they could just turn the cheats off and go on playing. Next time they play, they are using cheats again. So they will never be banned. Thats why i think banning people w/out warning for using cheats is good. Many people say: I didnt know, the trainer was set up. --> That doesnt matter. Everybody who plays online has to be sure, that there are no trainers installed. Everybody should be able to figure out how that can be checked, so the excuse "i didnt know i was cheating" is no apology. Its the same in the "real world". When you drive a car and a cop stops you and checks your car and he finds something illegal it doesnt matter if you say "oh i didnt know it was illegal". YOU ARE responsible for your car. So you have to check it before driving. Pretty easy to understand...

I think you cant play VC in a lower resolution then 640x480. Im playing ViceCity with an AMD Thunderbird 1000 Mhz with a Geforce MX, and its alright. I got 512 MB RAM (no DDR). It is not the perfect system but it runs pretty good. Your system is a lot better, so its gonna run good too. BTW: i highly recommend to buy a better graphics card for your PC, you could probably get 40-50% more speed out of the system...

Windows XP has a compatibility mode. You can check if ít is activated by right clicking on the GTA-VC.EXE --> properties --> compatibility --> and then there is a box where you can choose Win 98, Win 2000 and so on...

nice double post.. well hmm actually bots arent a bad idea. you could have like 6 bots, that wouldnt be too much (sync problem). but to program the AI would be really a lot of work and i dont think that anybody needs bots. the MTA Team better concentrates on doing the important stuff. But when MTA 1.0 is released you can think about that again

2 lines in 20 seconds is a crap idea but what about that: when a person writes 5 messages in less then 10 seconds he will be warned. If he does it again he is banned from server.

Hmm looks like we found another possible improvement-possibility for MTA:VC

there IS a way to get out of the frozen MTA-VC... All you have to do is end the task.. well its not easy without seeing shit, but i think it works when you do this: CTRL+ALT+DEL then hit TABULATOR once and then SPACE (maybe ENTER instead of SPACE). I found that out by myself, and maybe it doesnt work on every computer...

thats most likely cause of a joystick... check if there is any joystick connected, if yes unplug it and it should be fine.

another thing which i dont understand is, that you dont accept donations... (i didnt search for that subject in the forum... sorry, if somebody already asked it)

Sevaels idea is more realistic, but the way it will be (one key for jacking, one key for passenger-seat) is better for the gameplay.
