  1. Im sure you don't need to put thousands of objects in the same place
  2. The quote you made about me using a script is basically to reduce time on mapping every object in, i just simply made a small script created objects with it, wrote a file with the objects in and converted it into a map file, worked perfectly when i was testing and i spawned on the place after download was done. Anyway, why do you need so many objects in the same place?
  3. I constructed and tested the computer on mta and other games before selling it, i saw this post so i decided to try it out, i rapidly placed over 5k objects in the same place, ofc i used a script to do it then converted that script into a map file and i checked if it worked perfectly, i had approximately 80-100fps in that area, loaded nearly in 30-40 seconds which for that amount of objects in the same place is nothing. So i think in the end that might be your computer or internet. Specs: *Intel i7 2nd generation. quad core 3.4ghz *Nvidia gtx 780 *16gb ram *Asus maximus v motherboard (im sure you don't need to know power supply) *76Mb/s internet ( to get megabytes [MB] instead of megabits [Mb] divide Mb by 8 )
  4. I think editing the old scripts is better and simply add an argument for the dimensions.
  5. if mta "fixed" that, some people replace the looks of the marker which could ruin the way they work, while you could make a simple if statement that doesn't hurt, does it?
  6. you do realize you could make a simple function, then do something like ' if markerDimension(marker) == true then ' nothing messy about that.
  7. It's not really an issue if you can easily fix it by getting dimensions of the marker.
  8. just turn the chat off for the guy.
  9. Make a script well enough and it won't be a problem.
  10. you can simply fix that by making a small if statement that checks the dimensions of the marker.

    1.4 Beta Release

The devs are going to re-make that according to your language and fix other languages, as for now it is in a beta stage they only wanted to see if everything works perfectly.
  12. Well, there are a lot simpler and less time consuming things which you could do. For your idea you could add like a loading and checking resources etc thing on top when a person joins while in the background there is the camera moving around the map

    1.4 Beta Release

So people could mess around and use hacks? no way, if you want that find a server that has disabled ac or make your own.
  14. I'm with you on that, but your way of fixing the problem is a waste of time, I am not trying to be rude or anything, just saying.
  15. No man, nothing like this should be done, it's a waste of time, all you have to do if it's gta sa objects not mapped then first give a shot at trying to load the objects when the person has got everything downloaded and after like a second it replaces the objects. Or just get what parts of the map the player renders in and simply load them in. Using that you will give people better frames as not everything would be rendered at the same time.
  16. exactly as i said that it will happen, and i told you how to do it ...
  17. This will create a new image and a gui every time, i would recommend creating it, then making a function to make it visible/invisible.
  18. thanks for the note genius, but the thing is, that you might think it's good while it's a piece of crap
  19. If you make resources correctly without any errors, bugs or/and any exploits then resources won't add much of a lag onto the server, only while loading/downloading a small nearly unnoticeable lag might occur. Server slots make no difference if the server can handle people and the bandwidth is good. The amount of vehicles means more rendering which in a way could lead to a lag problem, especially in a dayz gamemode. what lag is? it simple: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=what+is+lag%3F To reduce lag there are millions of ways, first is to get rid of any mods as that makes a massive difference. Another main point is to get an extremely good dedicated server.
  20. This happened to me only on certain objects, but it can be simply fixed with adding a few additional lines to your script.
  21. And how do you know people will donate?

    1.4 Beta Release

oh ok, i will try other functions later to see how they work and is there a full list anywhere of what new functions there is going to be or is it those only?

    1.4 Beta Release

I don't have much time on testing 1.4, but is there a way on destroying effects?

    object color

You have to apply a certain texture in 3ds max (if you're using that software) which makes the color "original", other wise if its not cars or any vehicle, use shaders.
  25. bugs don't get fixed using imagination or magic. That might be fixed in a new update that could take ages to come out, or it is just in one of your scripts.
