Next time someone complains about stuttery and laggy gameplay issues tell them to check their stream.ini file (GTA SA folder) Mine had the wrong numbers and that was the reason to all my problems. Took me way too long to figure this out. Random freezes still occur - but I can live with that. And can someone confirm if HPET helps or not in MTA? since MTA is CPU based, HPET might fck up the timers, but only the developers can answer that.

    Alright, video will be rendered and uploaded soon. But could you tell me, what each color graph means? When a lag spike is happening, all of the graphs will jump high. and when I'm recording the blue one is going crazy, so consider it when you see the video.

    The freecam only goes up and down, not forward/backwards. it's really hard to manuver like this, by the way the map is supposed to be played on 49fps (or it doesn't matter?) --- Alright reconnecting fixed it. I didn't see any spikes even in the parts where I usually lag in normal servers.. can you let me drive it now and see if it happens then?

    I really did not feel any difference between the two. and I tried to play both versions as much as possible. I'd say 5258 is worse.

    but nothing else works... I'm trying everything since May 2012, just look at my previous threads! they all end up with no solutions... I replaced 3 computers during this period and it's the same on all of them. what else am I supposed to do? I've installed the latesy nightly you posted and like I said those freezes still happen, randomly and when objects load. I'll just deal with playing on 640x480... I give up. thanks for trying.

  9. I believe it was already fixed? I used to turn off my overclock before entering MTA, because it got me kicked for passing the FPS limit. but now i'm clocked at 4.4ghz and it doesn't do anything.

    I don't know what sniper just posted, but anyway.. I managed to run radeonpro by removing the d3d9.dll files in my GTA directory changing the 'flip queue size' to 0~3 helped a little bit, but the game is still not fluid. i can still notice some freezes randomly and while objects are loading

    I will try. someone else told me to try and change the flip queue size (pre-rendered frames but for AMD cards), and the only way to change it's value is by using a program called RadeonPro. For some reason MTA is crashing when the program is running, but it does work on MTA1.2. the error I get is 'Application Error - The memory could not be read', can you try and fix it? I believe it might help.

    yes! noticed that a couple of times. but I don't always pay attention, i guess it happens randomly too. 2:21, when the car lands my game will freeze EVERY time! half a second freeze but still those are the freezes i'm talking about!

    Windows Defender was already disabled But i've done everything you said, and it's still lagging (mostly when objects are loading), would you like me to upload a MTADiag log?

    I assume it happens the most when objects are loading.. another thing I did was opening my own server and playing on it. it didn't lag so bad/at all to be honest. Maybe large amount of players + objects loading = lag?

    as I thought we didn't get to any solution so I decided to start testing things by myself I even reached a situation where I changed the application settings, compabillity settings.. everything you can imagine I decided to re-install previous MTA versions and test stabillity (on the few servers that remained), on 1.0.5 there was no lag AT ALL, 1.1.1 no lag, 1.2 no lag... and STILL, v1.3 is the worst of all. instead of improving from it's previous versions it only gotten worse. me and many other people are suffering from unstable gameplay including microstutter issues and FPS drops which never happened before and are NOT supposed to happen on high-end gaming rigs, a friend of mine suffers from the same issue with an i7 2600k with HD6970 while I'm using an i5 3570k and HD7970, and suffer from lag issues too, another guy is with an i5 2500K and a GTX580... there are endless examples.. Please try to solve this issue, what was added to ver 1.3 that may cause this? I'm willing to test anything you ask me to, and provide you any information you need... I really want this problem to be fixed. Thanks.
  19. I'm not saying you're not! I appreciate your tries to help but i'm just desperate. I played on a Q9550 from 2008 till 2011 with no problem, short time after that the lags started, I switched to AMD 955 and GTX560Ti, I could play with no problem for awhile on MTA 1.2, when 1.3 came all the troubles started.. FPS drops, stutters and so on... like I said i've made my last upgrade about 2 weeks ago (3570k and HD7970) and it's still happening... so I feel like it's a lost case..

    Which GTA version are you running? (1.01, 2.00 or original) Did you install the game from a CD or an ISO file? Try mounting the ISO/CD again and see if it helps. Another reason could be a mod you've installed recently that's interrupting another program related to MTA.
  22. That option is only available for screenshots, anyway, done capturing.. The video might look laggy, but it feels exactly the same while i'm playing, rendering the video made the 'drops' disappear so luckily I made it record the amount of FPS. you can see it drops by 5-6 at a time, and drops to 30fps atleast once or twice a round. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyxeJIaXzuA
  23. Sure, could you make a command that will show the FPS? I couldnt make fraps to record the amount of FPS too. that is to show you the drops. and something else, I have noticed that early in the morning when the servers has less players, the game is alot less laggy, I've spoke to -ffs-sniper about it (I play on his server most of the time) and he said something about syncing (?) maybe when there are many players on, the server is working harder to keep up with the syncing and that's what is causing my drops? the difference is: at 4PM for example the game is un-playable, at 4AM it's playable but still stuttering a bit. however drops are still there. and another thing that I was thinking of, maybe my network is causing the issues? the server I play has 250~300 players on an average day. is it possible that my network/latency is too high to keep up with the large amount of players? It's quite weird that I'm the only one complaining about lag, when my PC is alot better than other people in the community.
  24. It doesn't help so much.. it all started with MTA 1.3... nobody ever lagged on 1.2.. even map recorders still use MTA 1.2 because it's less laggy
  25. can the devs do something to help? i really struggle to play like this. this had been going for months...
