    Some ideas

All have been suggested before, and most discussed. (except the erm, free suit ) Streaming radio ideas have been around since early gta3:mta versions, both playing it over the built-in mp3 player and servers-own custom stations have been suggested. Groups, teams, gangs etc have been a part of mta since its inception and with the up-coming customisability and scriptability (with C++) of future versions we should see much more indepth and advanced forms such as those your suggestion touches on. Ditto for things for the police to do (if thats what you meant by 'work for the police') If you meant to be able to be part of the police force then the same applies
  2. I imagine most of us will play both, along with any others that appear in the future
  3. That all seeing eye message is normal. Have you actually tried connecting to 127.0.0.1 (if server is on your local machine) to confirm if the server is running or not?
  4. It tells you right there, the port is in use by something else. Just change the admin port or disable the other application that is using it.
  5. The problem with that is, it isn't a map designed for multi-play as such, is it. Servers automatically downloading unplayable stuff is one of the problems the center suffers from already.
  6. Try e-mailing talidan. He may need to add support for your executable if it is a less common one.
  7. I just noticed we had 52 people viewing the forum, 50 guest and 2 members. This is unusual. Did we just get some publicity somewhere that brought all you guys in at once? Please do register and link to it if this is the case. Thanks.
  8. In reply to the question posed by the topics title: No.
  9. Just out of interest, how do shareware programs store the time limited information? I'm presuming with most it makes changes to the application itself, rather than simply a 'note' file placed somewhere else on the harddrive. Perhaps using a similar system to store relevant information might be a way forward. Embedding the information in MTA or even san andreas itself, reinstalling shouldn't fix the situation too easily as it doesnt work with '30 day trial' shareware titles, it still knows it has been used. The ideal would be a registration code of some kind, but the problem then is how to restrict the number that one player can obtain, with so many anonymous and free email systems out there it is far too easy to register dozens of times for dozens of codes

  11. They are the black pneumatic, air filled rubber coverings that get placed on steel or alloy wheels on most vehicles to provide grip in most weather conditions when travelling at all speeds. They are prone to puncture and wear down after several thousand miles, requiring replacement. Here is an example, most probably from a tractor (A commonly used agricultural vehicle):
  12. I'm not sure exactly what you are asking for either. If it is an MTAmA script you require then you would be better off posting in the addons section.
  13. It was certainly fun in mtavc 0.2, 3 and 4 Although eventually you just ended up with rogue shooters trying to disrupt the other players vehicle based fun. I guess drive-by will keep those situations to a minimum however
  14. GTA And not just the opening music, the entire soundtrack. All written and recorded in-house by rockstar and even had music journos contacting them for information on the 'bands' involved. Great.
  15. I can also see the many opportunities opened up by the ability to spawn players inside vehicles. Let's hope the team include it at some point.

    MTA: VC

The newest VC version is MTA 0.5. It has GTA3 and VC support included. It is oldish now as the team are concentrating all development on San Andreas at the moment, therefore the older games have taken a back seat.

    One little Problem

Or post your old, damaged one to rockstar/t2i with a covering letter. I did this with gta3 and recieved a relacement free of charge.
  18. I didn't realise that was so for drivers, no. That is great news.
  19. Aha! Ok thats great, Thanks. I hadn't noticed as it seemed random, some have double 'shadow things' for example.
  20. Blokker, any chance you could re-install that old hack that showed a different icon for an active post that you had posted in at some point? That was one of the most useful hacks this board had and it is sorely missed.
  21. Agreed, if anything the current driveby weapons need to be tampered with to drastically reduce thier rate of fire and/or damage when used in that fashion, if not then they will be the bane of the game (alternatively allow server admins to disable them - I'm betting that the majority will )

    MTAVC TOS

Yes, unfortunately it would. MTA 0.5 and most previous versions do not allow any other modifications to be run at the same time (primarily for synchronisation and therefore stability reasons) Future versions - built upon the Blue platform - were intended to all along. Wether the team come through with this or stay with thier own modifications (via the built in editors) remains to be seen.

    Free Roaming +bot mod?

Being able to set a gang of bikers like that on other players would be great fun. There's also AI controlling the police when they pursue you. In fact with a little tweaking itd' be quite possible to get bots up and running, the problem is then making them run with and synch with mta itself if you wanted anything other than an offline pseudo-multiplayer experience
