OMG has anyone read the reviews bout VC? It says in them perfectly clearly that it is the SAME basic engine with a few tweaks, thats is all, no argument about it . ughh sum ppl.

I allways thought that all that is transmitted is position data and animation and weapons fire etc. and your comp renders it, no pc will render each part of the map that there is a player on. I might be wrong here tho, someone confirm this.

I dont mind not having game modes, I just want the bugs to be fixed so I can play.

Yeah its a common problem , the data somehow gets lost I think. I dont understand why some people can play and others cant, just have to stick it out and wait for people to work out the problem. (try to save the pictures as .jpeg instead of bmp, its faster to load)

yeah i kno, the connection seems to stay now anyway, got a snippet of action 2day. Its strange, the more i try the further i get with MTA, maby somethings breaking thru in that little pentium .

Yeehhhhaaaaaa !!!! I actually interacted with someone a few minutes ago, just for a few secs. He got out of the car walked to me, dissapeared and apppeared in my car n thats it. I seem to be havin probs with windows tho, sometimes the screen just switches off by itself, i hav to press space for it to come back but then it usually screws up n wont respond to anything. Someone know if thats definetley windows (i have ME) or graphics card (GF4 Ti4200 128mb), it happend before MTA but now its got worse.

yeah i noticed that, it happens most when u drife fast onto the beach.

I got one n it seemed to work just fine with the server, that is if the game was working. I made sure i listed the 2003 port to be monitored tho. I was woried that it would reject everyone but it didnt seem to.

Well when i double click in ASE i get the old 0.2 MTA popup, dunno how this is possible.

yeah sometimes i manage to catch a car crashing, n sometimes the dissapear (which is what happens when u die) n reappear again. Thats as far as it goes appart from cars warping all over the place occasionally.

Yeah reconnecting doesnt work, but every time I play I get a bit more like now atleast i see the other ppl (not moving tho).

Sorry but that doesnt work for me, it just updates the positions of players. I still havnt interacted with anyone, sometimes I thought i did but then realised that it wasnt. why can some ppl (by some I mean a few) play and others cant?

Ill try ur suggestion, this is what i found out same as you that somehow the connection is lost and only a tiny bt of position data manages to get thru before connection goes. Its weird cos the MTA window says tht im connected all the time. I even tried runnin my own server (-will it work?-) but still cant see others, i managed to have a propper chat tho for the first time. Tht was my first experience of runnin a server ever, kinda easy.

he just stopped moving. My LED hardly ever flashes constantly, it gets all the info of the server n players n thats where it stops flashing most of the time.

Ive been tryin n tryin, and the last game I cought some action. Just as i got in the car n drove to find the player I saw his car crashing, but as soon as I got close to him he stopped n I figure the connection just cuts. This must b the problem cos sometimes obviously enough data is sent to me to atleast place some cars or players, but then it must just cut. Ive noticed that the LED thing sometimes just flashes once n then cuts. I hope there is an easy fix cos i really wanna play soon.

I think u made that sound as if u were talkin to retards. I figured that those peds were just hosts, but only if it worked.

No side works for me. If i join mafia I always get a ped tht looks like me runnin down the road, just runnin till he ends up in a corner, there is allways a big group of peds on the roof, n sometimes there is a car with again someone tht looks like me n who shoots when i shoot out of the car. When im diablo nothing appart from the roof peds appear at all.
