yea i've noticed in a few games, guy is running i assumed it was a player the first time, but i followed him and the guy always runs (if its there) from the spwaning place by the mafia? down the street, takes left then right under the railway, and anyways keeps running thru china town and then just runs into the sea, doesn't die, and if u do manage to kill him his green dot stays on the radar too and u can pick up his uzi! i thought it was just an issue where the games didn't connect or something, as i think it only happens if theres no other players...

i was just curious,i'm sure at the begging you said you was using a network thingy, which is faster than 56k...and the settings on the client are for 56? (i assume thats why its there for) i mean i dunno if it makes any difference, but i know on my comp it defaults to 128 everytime i start, do different things happen on different settings? is it just there to look pretty? are some things not sync'd on the slower speed whilst on the faster its more reliable? anyways *stays quiet* u get what i'm on about right?

for that guy who said everyones a rich millionare and has t3 plus dual P4's and quad amd hammer chips or whatever...(i know 2 ppl who have broadband EVERYONE i know has 56k) anyways yea they have to realise a beta, i know this may come as a surprise, but even gta3 was tested by hundreds of people, its a huge game, theres loads to test, even things people wouldn't think about, like waht if you drive on the grass, does the handling of the car change? even windows was tested by thousands of people....unbelivable init (i've calmed down now but i don't think i'm gonna send this anyway) (dam rich ppl )

i've noticed another thing, i'm not sure if anyone has noticed this, but i'm using blackICE and i notice when i disconnect from a game (okay i'm not sure if it happens all the time altho in the history theres been a lot of these which seem to corrispond to the times i've tried the game, i just had a succesfful game semeed like there was at least 30 ppl in it (56k and barely no lag then) anyways after i disconnect blackice reports a large amount of ICMP_Unreachable_Storm attacks or whatever it calls it, as soon as i reconnect to th server, they stop, is this an issue with the server? or jus a one of thing do you think? (the address us tge server i was connected to at the time. thanks again for this (oh and i'm keeping all my bitching to one post to try and keep it tidy hehe?, i have a feeling this should of been somewhere else but again i haven't seen this myself, as with the earlier post i did, sorry if it is somewhere else!

hey, i think u should try writing any program, (i do a little vb from time to time but not often) but you never write even a simple program 100% correct first time, you try doing soemthing, hell just make a batch file to delete the tempory folder and you'll probably screw up the first few times too, give these guys credit, they've done an amazing job, and from what i can tell its in vb? which makes it even more amazing to me, i've tried doing things with other programs and i just get confused and frustrated (tried to make a clone of the start menu task bar, not the whole thing just hte task bar, drove me nuts one day i swear i'll get round to it ) also u said its laggy? of coures its gonna be laggy itsl ike the first realise, (i'm assuming its not optimised for speed in stuff, just to get it to work? although i'll shut up now before i start making myself look too stupid! )

sorry for starting another thread or whatever its called *noob at forum's* BUT i have 2 monitors so i draged the client thing onto the other monitor so ican watch the connection status etc, i have joined very few succesful games, although the ones i did join i was very impressed with how it worked (i'm think its because i'm on 56k probably to do with a lot of things) but the one that worked was great, loads of people just going mad etc...anyways in the client, i notice it says at the top your status when you alt n tab, either n foot or car, but when your in the game, if you get of out a car it stays saying car and same for when it says foot and you get in a car, would this affect anything? i wasn't sure if it was sync'ing all these things i thought the caption of the window would also be in sync, also would it be possible to have a thread in the forum for servers? as having a demo of a program that lasts 21 days and often tells me you ahve to register because priority is for registered users and the servers are busy i find very annoying, or like with that ggm one a server list is on the website and updated by the program (i assume thats how it works) thanks for a great program i honestly didn't belive you'd be able to get this far! very impressive

in my humble opinion i think u should use windows 2000 instead of 98 as a server, i thought 98 couldn't use more than 512mb of ram? could be just me tho, i've always had bad experiance with anything other than windows NT versions, for stability, but then again i an't got a powerhouse of a computer either
