  1. Ya, it is a known issue I'm looking into. Somehow it was improperly linked in the database.
  2. Another quick update! It seems MTA Remote Admin may be able to stick around after all! I just did some minor work on it, fixed a couple bugs and typos, and updated some information. Like the remainder of the project, it was also just updated to use Visual Studio 2013...which brings me to another announcement: Due to recent changes within MTA as a whole toward using only Visual Studio 2013 and above for a multitude of reasons, we have done the same. This means that the entire project can now only be built using Visual Studio 2013 or later. This also means that anyone using Windows 2000 Professional or earlier will unfortunately no longer be able to play, administrate, or host servers. This decision was not made lightly, and as much as I personally hate to see compatibility lost, it was a necessary change to continue the project forward. I apologize to anyone affected by this change, but also highly suggest you consider upgrading to something much newer if you are one of the very few left in this category of users. Moving on, I would like to remind everyone that many more updates to the project can also be found here: http://bugs.projectredivivus.com/roadmap_page.php Please keep in mind that this does not show all of the changes we've made, or the work we've done, as it does not sync up with our private or public repositories. It will, however, give you a brief idea of what we have been doing lately!
  3. As a brief update, ixjf and SLC have been added to the team, and we have made tremendous progress in fixing several major issues and bugs, as well as completing some planned features. Among those problems, GTA III 1.1 now loads properly again, and server bans were updated to use XML format files. More to come soon!
  4. That was incredibly delayed, however it gives me good reason to post some progress! The new PR site is about 95% done, pending reinstallation of some missing pieces such as the portal and the wiki's anti-spam mods, and some CSS-based fixes here and there. The majority of things are now live for all to enjoy, and we're actively attempting to hunt down more C++ developers to help get things back on track. I would also like to point out that despite the issues mentioned elsewhere in the current development of 0.5.1, everything is building properly without errors, and both MTAClient and MTAServer will run under Windows. (I'm still trying to get the *nix version of MTAServer to compile, which is delayed by my lack of experience in *nix-based compiling). Once I can get everything packaged up, I'll try to release another nightly for people to try out. Here's a couple teasers of the latest compiling on Windows: http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb187/ms-sugard-x/mtavc051testbuildconnection.png (Connected and running) http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb187/ms-sugard-x/mtavc051testbuildservershutdownmsg.png (Disconnect reason of the server being shut down finally working+fixed out-game chat colors)
  5. That bug is caused by webhosts flagging the files as false positive trojans. In addition to the MTA archives, additional file download links can be found at: http://files.projectredivivus.com/ A working download link for the 0.5r2 installer is also available here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/hrp6f3g2f63e70y/mta05r2_full_installer.exe
  6. I'm not sure about scaling, but as far as importing goes, they use a different format. I'd suggest contacting VRocker or Maxorator about this. Both of them have been researching importing objects from III, VC, and SA into each other. GTAForums may also have some information, as countless others in the past have converted models from each game to another for various mods. I'm not sure off-hand who else would have knowledge of this that is still around, but many old-school hardcore modders would be good resources.
  7. Sorry for yet another bump, however news has arisen! We are currently in the process of getting things back on track. Callum has returned to the development team, and pending some new technical changes awaiting the VPS I plan to purchase next month, we will continue development of 0.5.1 soon. I'm also looking at us possibly releasing a new version of the external server browser that would use the PR website's server listing for 0.5r2, since Game-Monitor support will be being dropped completely in 0.5.1. (The company is trying to sell itself off, and has continuously ignored our repeated/promised requests to fix the "Add Server" section). If anyone is interested in joining our web or program development teams, and you have knowledge of the applicable languages, don't hesitate to contact us!
  8. Well maybe he has decided to change his mind. Let's help prove his old opinions wrong!
  9. MTA originally was made for GTA III and Vice City. There are also other competing mods out there which bring multiplayer features to GTA III and Vice City.
  10. That is because it is not visible on any of the pages unless you specifically check the Special Pages section for it.
  11. Be forewarned, the website uses multiple mirrored domains which PHPBB's cookie system is not friendly with. This means that if you jump between domains when logging in or viewing things, it'll log you back out.
  12. Sorry for the epic bump, but the website is back online. This can be locked.
  13. What is your IRC username? I'm idling there now. Trying to contact the old Devs and see what we can pull together.
  14. Your information is very far off. 1. There was coding behind the scenes even after Towncivilian became busy with RL. The only reason why what we have hasn't been released yet is because the coder making most of the changes decided to retire shortly after adding a ton of features to the VC part of the mod, but not the III part, and caused the entire thing to become bugged. Finding a replacement developer that understands what he did is already hard enough, but finding one that is actually willing to fix it too is a whole 'nother story. 2. The website is not dead. The server it was hosted on had issues that I am still trying to work out. 3. The IRC channel is only "dead" because no one has had any reason to talk in it lately. I would rejoin and bring up interest again, but I've been very busy with work IRL, and I am still trying to seek a resolution to this development issue. 4. LU and VC:MP are not dead. To the contrary, LU is still working on version 0.1.1.0, which is being rewritten from scratch, and VC:MP already has a beta out for 0.4. Just because you do not see progress does not mean there isn't any. That is why I posted this topic. To keep you all in the loop regarding the situation at hand.
  15. dude use your mind why BUMP you can go support board Because I am one of the people in charge of this project, and all locations were being updated on purpose.
  16. It is not dead. We are just lacking developers still.
  17. I don't know how I missed this topic, but a tournament isn't a bad idea!
  18. Sorry for the bump, but an additional download link is available here: https://projectredivivus.googlecode.com/files/MTA%200.5r2%20Installer.exe It may still throw warnings on security programs due to the obfuscation used in the source code. These are known false positives, and will come up in "MTAInstaller.exe" and "MTAClient.exe", (or whatever the versioning may have them named as).
  19. What is your experience with GTA-related programming?
  20. Still trying to get a hold of VRocker to fix the website hosting issues. I've been extremely busy IRL lately with work, so I'm trying to get some time off to focus on this again. (I just recently received a promotion when my schedule was already hell, so it got even worse). We're still also searching for more Developers!
  21. MTA was founded in 2003. You're missing a few years there.
  22. 10 years. going be 11 years Still haven't given up on it either!
