    Resolution Help

There is no problem with 4/3 and 16/10 resolutions while GTA SA 1.0 support them too, that's the reason you can play in 1440x900. For want of anything better, I'm playing with the 1680x1050 resolution in window mode, so it's no longer upscaled.

    Resolution Help

Hi, I've got the same problem. I've bought a new screen yesterday with a resolution of 1920x1080 (16:9). Before, I used a screen with a resolution of 1152x864 (4:3) but it's not an important point. So when I ran MTA with the new screen, I've set the 1920x1080 resolution but when I restarted MTA, it sets the 800x600 resolution like other people here. I've got the same problem when I've tried to set 1600x900 and 1280x720 — these are 16:9 too. There is probably others 16:9 resolutions but I haven't tested them yet. However, I've also tested 1024x768, 1152x864 (both 4:3), 1440x900 then 1680x1050 (both 16:10) and it works. So it seems that MTA — more probably GTA SA by itself as Talidan think — can't use a 16:9 resolution. So I've to play in 1680x1050 with two vertical black band, it's better than 800x600 but it's still a little upscaled. I confirm also that the bug affects nVidia graphic cards, I have an GeForce 7600 Go — it's a laptop with an external screen plugged on it because its screen is dying. I'm afraid that the problem have to be solved by using the GTA's patched version, but is it planned to do that in futur MTA's releases? I don't think so but I hope I'm wrong.
  3. I've got the problem, go to single player mode and set controller mode to mouse instead of gamepad. It's probably possible to switch it directly in MTA but I haven't find how to do that.
  4. I don't know what it use to make the hardware ID but it's too small (around 12 digits) and a large risk of collision is possible... Generate a real UID for a computer isn't very easy and it can't be made with too few digits. A good solution would be use MAC address of the network card but I don't know if it's easy to find the right card when there is more than one card. And even if it can be done, it's possible to change easily the network card's MAC address if its driver allows it. Anyway... I've got this problem on my laptop, so the problem may occur especially with assembled (ready-made) laptop or desktop computers? If it's your case, maybe it's an avenue worth exploring? But one thing it's sure, actually the pseudo-UID isn't so unique. In this case, I think that the installer wouldn't have to block computer which seems to be already associated to another account as long as two computers - and probably more - can get the same Hardware-ID!
  5. I've got the same problem. I've never create any account in the past and let alone associated with my computer. I've simply installed MTA-SA Race few month ago, already without MTA account. I saw the hardware ID format with WireShark and I think that there is a major risk of collision... Please, help us.
