  1. You want huge chunk, the Initial D server we have yet to update, now that's a huge download, 14 custom high poly cars, 2 ENTIRE MOUNTIAN racetracks, that's 130MB. Some people can download it in a matter of seconds, some people cant. Don't worry about the size, well, do worry about the size, but try to keep it under 5MB. - even then some impatient 13 year old ADHD sufferers will still bitch about it taking so long, but that's their problem.
  2. Not by default, but there are mods about, some on gtaworldmods.de that have paintjobable cars, but thats a dff replacement.
  3. *Waits to see someone make a rusty car script, where the rust is actually rough by way of bumpmapping
  4. Replacing the paintjobs does work, subenji99 did it. HOWEVER the paintjob id's are NOT the vehicle ID's. You need to use the new replacing shader functions. for the life of me i dont know how its done, (benji did it) but i do know our textures are just .png images. For example "elegy2.txd" as its called in the gta3.img, with just the texture extracted to .png is: elegy2body256.png then you replace "elegy2body256" with that somehow in shaders (someone who knows will be able to help you with that) and TADA! custom paintjob. Doing it this way ONLY replaces the SINGLE paintjob. Not all 3.
  5. Benji (or subenji99 as he's known here) has created a great little javascript page for converting lines of handling.cfg into MTA LUA code. (Yes, I know that hedit can import handling lines) But this page is more aimed at scripters wanting to convert an entire handling line straight into a script in Notepad++ (or whatever) Either way, it should make converting Handling Lines to LUA easier for some of you! Try it out! It does have some issues with some browsers, if it doesn't work, there are 3 browsers that we tested with that work, Firefox, Opera and Chrome. Click the button:
  6. Confirmed, Reinstalled GTA SA from the disc and now it works. I will experiment with the gta3.img file and tell what does it. :::EDIT::: Confirmed Working GTA San Andreas\models\generic\vehicles.txd editing works fine. (Not the cause, Trying something else) Blacktop Roads (TXD Change) (Not the Cause) Admin Paintjobs (TXD change) (not the cause) :::EDIT::: Possible Causes Yep, changed out my gta3.img with the old one, and sure enough same error. so its deffinatly a change in my gta3.img only had 5 specific changes done to it. Better Reflections on cars (Probably the cause, involved changing EVERY cars .dff file with ones that had edited reflection maps) SPC Wheelpack (.dff change) and then the hi poly guns, also a .dff change. (Not visible in image)
  7. Abort, Retry, Ignore, MTA closes with all 3 and no dump is written. Benji has suggested that it could be my road textures. (in my forums) So I will remove my Epic roads and HD Guns and give it a shot on a blank install. will reply back if its fixed afterwoods. ======================================== Looks like i'm not the only one with this problem, this person asked Microsoft, and needless to say they were... useless. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... d6ff7fd392 Read it to lol at MS's responce about "Internet Explorer"
  8. I have followed Towncivilian's instructions here: https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtop ... 78be830855 And none of which solve the issue (no d3d9.dll in game folder, deleting .set file did nothing, directX installer said up to date or newer already installed, and am using latest patch that he linked.) ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 9/3/2011, 19:44:07 Machine name: DAZZAJAY Operating System: Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (5.2, Build 3790) Service Pack 1 (3790.srv03_sp1_rtm.050324-1447) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. 9. Thanks for merging the post Towncivilian. did a preview just then and I don't see any errors.
  10. Looked around, guessed here in Development was the best spot. Either way, trying to log into Mantis and its throwing an error. Figured you guys should know. also, I'm using Firefox 3.6.3 (not sure if that has anything to do with it) SYSTEM WARNING: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'mta_wsandra'@'localhost' (using password: YES) SYSTEM WARNING: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/bugs/core/error_api.php:166) APPLICATION ERROR #18 Page redirection error, ensure that there are no spaces outside the PHP block (<?php ?>) in config_inc.php or custom_*.php files. 14. The Kwacka won the vote, and is in the server now for practice.
  15. i might on the next one. Which BTW is being held on the 24th of July. the vote for the car is still open, but the Honda Civic EK9 Type R is winning. - its a good car tho. http://www.potholestudios.com/Content/pid=3.html
  16. This thread is old and should be Deleted.
  17. Sorry about that man, we lost our database in january in a corrupted backup. (always check your database backups before deleting the old one when moving to a new server) i fixed the download section, but all the links are different. The sultan Impreza is here: http://www.potholestudios.com/Downloads ... id=12.html and here is the rest of the GTA San Andreas mods that we host: http://www.potholestudios.com/Downloads/c=2.html
  18. The ports hat need forwarding are clearly listed in your mtaserver.conf file
  19. Nah, i dont know how to code in C++ Sebas does, thats why i suggested that he put his time to better use than looking to start arguments. Either way, lets get back on topic. The facts: MTA custom sounds work fine on XP. they dont however on Vista and 7, (Possibly due to the Crappy software emulated sound system in vista and 7) I have not bothered reporting the bug cause as far as im concerned its a Windows issue, not an MTA issue. But if Talidan or somone thinks it can be fixed on the MTA client side for vista and 7 users, then it should be looked in to.
  20. Why don't you try to fix it, instead of trying to start arguments. you know, make yourself usefull.
  21. its vista itself, its what you can expect from a crappy software emulated sound system.
  22. Loop, means Repeat, im sure you dont want your sounds on a constant repeat. Either way, The problem dos not occour on XP, only Vista and 7. i myself would blame Microsoft.
  23. yeah, your IP is the same as a dickhead spammer, cos your on the same ISP that useses dynamic ISP's. iil look into it. PM Me your current IP. :::EDIT::: Fixed.
  24. You said you had a ZyXEL P-600 That vid clearly shows a ZyXEL P-660HW-T1 The closest i can find is a Guide for the P-661HW-D1 The images look similar. http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... t_Auto.htm If that guide cant help, then i cant help, as i have never seen this type of modem ever before. i usually service Netgear, Netcomm, D-Link and Belkin Modem/Routers. Also you should remove that video from Youtube as it shows your IP Address to everyone.
