I've made a map (my first good one ) i've been busy with it for a week, about 2 hours a day, previous weekend about 10 hours, it was almost finished, and good, i saved it and put it in my server, tried to opened it, it had error, i tried opening in map editor error too. i open in text editor, nothing is in it, only squares like [][][][][][][], oldest backup i had is about 10% of the total i had. WHAT TO DO IM PISSED OF ALL MY TIME SCREWED
  2. found a mirror: - non solid - works like a window (little transperant) --> yes im sure its a mirror, ive got it out of the interiors ipl, out of the tatoo shop, (and in single player, in the tattoo shop, youve mirrors). id: 14662 or put 14662 mirror [14662] in C:\Program Files\MTA San Andreas\mods\map_editor\objects\interior objects\mirror.models [normal directory, with a new file called: mirror.models]! i do want this too, so i hope some1 finds a working one!

But theres another way to get LC, just create a file in "C:\Program Files\MTA San Andreas\mods\map_editor\objects" [default path], called "LC Objects.models". And put 3906 LC Street/Building [1] 3905 LC Street/Building [2] 3897 LC Street/Building [3] 3899 LC Street/Building [4] 3893 LC Street/Building [5] 3907 LC Street/Building [6] 3903 LC Street/Building [7] 3891 LC Street/Building [8] 3890 LC Street/Building [9] 3892 LC Street/Building [10] 3894 LC Street/Building [11] 3900 LC Street/Building [12] 3911 LC Street/Building [13] 3895 LC Street/Building [14] 3898 LC Street/Building [15] 3902 LC Street/Building [16] 3917 LC Street/Building [17] 3923 LC Roads [far away] 3918 LS Snow [1] 3914 LS Snow [2] 3915 LS Snow [3] 3916 LS Snow [4] in it. It doesnt have the lod, but the most important is in it. And if you do want LOD in it, place 3901 LC LOD [1] 3904 LC LOD [2] 3908 LC LOD [3] 3896 LC LOD [4] 3912 LC LOD [5] 3909 LC LOD [6] 3913 LC LOD [7] in it too! Not that you really need it cause you already have LC, but now you can use the objects individual. And if your good with mapping, you can also recreate LC with this.
  4. ive not read all, so if it already has been posted: im sorry! Respawn pickups; Normally, if you die, you respawn at the last checkpoint you've gotten. A respawn pickup will let you respawn at its position, BUT you do not have to get it, on this way, you can make two routes from one checkpoint to another, and you'll still respawn between them (cause of the respawn pickup). New players only respawn mode; If your dead, your dead, but if you just joined the server, you will respawn! This only needs some security, to keep poeple from disconnecting, and reconnecting to respawn [just keep the IP in memory, so the server knows its the same player. ]. Text; Ability to show text [like the text at the start of a mission that says (for example) 'Drive to unity station.'], either the whole race, or after a certain checkpoint (for a chosen amount of time). The text doesnt really have to be colored, but it could be usefull (you could make an text: 'Drive to the next checkpoint.', and then make the color of the checkpoint yellow too). Ability to spawn simple bots and empty vehicles; - Ability to spawn simple bots (example SWAT people shooting at ya). - Ability to spawn empty vehicles (example, SWAT truck, next to swat people -> roadblock ) How i think the object animation should be; You should make some basic animations, like making a circle, or going up and down, and you can off course set how big the circle is and how far the objects need to go up and down, the object info (in file) would be like: object_making_a_circle_with_diameter_of_100_meter ......... ......... ........ circle 100 You should also making paths; You should be able to select some objects; choose option make path; -Control: you will control it like cars (up and down to move Z, left/right to move X/Y and W/S to accelerate/brake), -Control: you can choose a constant speed or a max speed (with constant speed you wont be able to change it with W/S [duh its constant]) -Save: just save a path file with the map (map only loads in server if it can find all its path files), paths are loaded when executed, or at start (after the map itself is fully loaded). -Save: path file names are simply _path01.pth (or something like that). -Save: map file: (in the path section, is set automaticly for the pathname, or just put it there when saving a map) _path01.pth _path02.pth _path03.pth object_following_path01 ......... ......... ........ _path01.pth [there is none, is all in path-file] another_object_following_path01 ......... ......... ........ _path01.pth
  5. i removed the vehicle change of all checkpoints, im having no trouble now. ive the same map again (well its about the same), only removed the vehicle change is first checkpoint. now its working fine !

I get it when anyone hits the first checkpoint, about 100 meters from start, 50 meter from that theres another one, and a few kilometers from that there's the last. Your vehicle gets changed at the checkpoint (from NRG500 to ranger [normal, not police]). All objects i used are: temp_road [id=2910] & ... [id=7052]. Used lots of "temp_road" [2910], to make huge walls. All players get kicked off, as soon as one player gets the first checkpoint.
  8. id of prolabs banner: 3281 and i think you can do it, you can also download the map2ipl, and place the all.models in "....\MTA San Andreas\mods\map_editor\objects\", if you place an object, and choose browse, you'll see 'all', choose it, and there will be an list of all 14258 objects you can place, the prolabs sign is number 2512 (if im right)
  9. ok ive done some testing, because i got something i seriously want to put in my single player map. every independent rotation is converted correctly, as long as the object is only rotated on one way (so only ctrl+ up/down or only home/end or only left/right). When you use multiple kinds of rotations for one object, it does not work correctlry. Here you have screen. i used 2 ipls in this. every green line indicates objects from the IPL and every red line indicates a object from the .map file. Objects A B and C are rotated with one kind of rotation. These were placed in IPL no. 1. objects D and E are rotated with two kinds of rotations, these were placed in IPL no. 2. the reason why you said it worked and we said it didnt is probably because you tested it with only 1 kind of rotation on each object, and we with multiple kinds of rotations.
  10. im too lazy to try out so: is it the read one only, or green rotation too? i cant do much when i know it, but other poeple can do more if they've more info cause the numbers dont say a lot... i think only the rotation indicated with green is saved, other rotations are put in the model (where else should they be, if they not in IPL?). if im right, we need some mod, which will include the other rotations 2, i hope that can be done or someone who knows more 'bout it then me, should come up with an easier solution...

  12. Is there any way to let objects move* around during races? *not falling down/rising, but following a path or something [like a plane flying around]

I got exactly the same problem, with (how could it be) an ATI graphic-card (ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000/9100 IGP), got directx 9.0c. but all this comes down to: ATI graphiccard owners will have a grey/black screen after the intro movie, and can solve this by downloading driver updates? (updating with device manager)
