  1. Hey guys. MTA detects my Xbox 360 controller. I can use it to drive around. However, it seems to lack functionality that is essential to driving with a controller in GTA... that is, when I'm driving, I cannot rotate my view around with the thumbsticks, and I cannot multipurpose bind some of the axis buttons. This is kind of frustrating, after being so used to GTA IV with my xbox 360 controller, I was really hoping to be able to come back and play MTA with it, and not having to use my PS2 controller. I can't find my PS2 to usb converter right now anyway. So has anybody had any luck with their 360 controller in MTA?
  2. LOL lmn8r. Why is there a thread about you? That's whacky, though somehow i'm not surprised. This is the one and only Nooblet, by the way. Personally I don't like cheats/hacks. Only thing I can stomach is modifying the handling.cfg files. Cause the servers detect those, and I only ever use handling.cfg cars on the Virginia stuntport server, since its allowed there. Any other server I revert all my stuff cause otherwise it kicks me if it has cheating enabled.

I really don't get it. I cant perfectly calibrate it like I wanted to... damn.

  5. OH NO!! Why oh WHY!? I am testing the map on a server, and the infernus can't get enough speed to clear the jump! I don't know what gives, because in the map editor, I can clear it at full speed. How come it isnt working when online?!

  7. Hello everybody! This is my first map EVER for MTA, or anything GTA related. I hope you all like it. It's called Dangerous Crossing, and its a destruction derby styled map, with support for 32 players! The map is relatively small, but I hope its somewhat unique. I hope... because I spent so much time on it! The players spawn off in one of 4 wings in an infernus, each wing supports 8 spawnpoints. They race down the roadway, and up a ramp while being wary of explosive barrels. When they hit the ramp, they fling into the air, and if they were going full speed, provided there are no midair collissions... the player can land on the other side going down the ramp. Its not perfect, but its pretty neat. However, with many players, the fun happens because at the start when they all race, there are going to be some midair collisions. Fret not, because if you happen to be in such a collission and don't blow up, down below the carnage continues in a square like arena where there are two Monster truck vehicle changes. Off in two corners there are breakable haystack areas, part of which leads up perilously(better not be in a monster truck trying to do it!) to the only two vehicle repair kits. There are ramps usable to hop back up onto the starting roadways, if players desire the ability to do so. I hope you all find the map interesting! The screenshots that follow don't really do it justice since it doesn't show everything there is. I wanted to have them start so that if there are only two players on the server, they start opposite each other so they have a chance to crash, and if there are four players starting, they are one on each wing, yet aligned so they all have a chance of crashing midair, and so forth, so on... EDIT: I can already see I might do some changes. On the highest point for those that can make it, of the leap of faith(usually when crossing to the other side), I am going to add a repair icon accessible that way too. It'll be a little more accessible than the other two but the player will be damaged upon landing so it'll balance out a little bit. I found that it sucks being hurt so much that the next jump might kill you.

  11. I'm creating a grid type thing... I want to take an object, like breakable hay, and duplicated it tenfold all along in rows. Is there a way to highlight multiple of the items and clone them on each other to move them like that as a group, or do I have to do each one painstakingly individually?

  13. Okay I narrowed it down. MTA kicks me out on servers for my SAAC(San Andreas Advanced Controls). Which sucks, cause I use it to configure my ps2 controller for the game. if I disable the program, it doesnt kick me. crazy.
  14. Does SAAC count as a mod that boots you? Cause I need that to play with my PS2 control.
  15. There is anti cheat. and many servers I get booted. But i'm not cheating! Any idea why this could be?
  16. Okay. I know this is what has caused it for a fact now. I installed Multi Theft Auto before, on an 80 gig hard drive I formatted that has nothing but MTA on it. It ran fine when I played, but when I restarted my computer, that's where the problem happened. My computer never booted to windows. Or rather, it booted to windows, but it didn't let me see my monitor display. How did I narrow this down to MTA? Whenever I pulled out the hard drive in question that has MTA, the computer boots up normally(I have a quick release drive bay). Now... I managed to get into safe mode, and uninstalled MTA. And voila, next time on reboot, the computer started up. I didn't install it again for a day or two. I figured maybe it was a fluke. I reinstalled it again, played some today, and once I rebooted the computer, I had the SAME issue. No ability to access the computer. However, now this time I can't even log into safe mode with the drive in, so I cannot delete the damn MTA! Anybody have any clue how I can resolve this, or what exactly in MTA could be causing it? The drive works perfectly fine. No disk errors, nothing... the only problem arises exactly when MTA is installed. I just hope nobody has this problem and had it installed on their MAIN hard drive. EDIT: I have further narrowed down the problem. It seems it was a huge cooincidence. You see, I have Daemon Tools on my computer... and the automount was doing something funky with it. Something interfering with the sptd.sys file. It was on a completely unrelated game than San Andreas. Baldur's Gate 1 as a matter of fact. So Mods. you can delete this topic please.
