  1. nope haven't encountered that problem. does san andreas play fine in single player mode? If so you can just about rule out graphics. What servers do you join, big heavily populated ones, or small ones? could possibly be a connection problem. more details!
  2. from what I see it mostly kicks people due to simple bugs. bugs like a poor connection, so it kicks you. also I see very commonly, people will fall into the water at certain points in the map but not die, and after a while it kicks you. its more of a nuisance then a problem, most times it kicks you your already f*cked
  3. yeah, speed cheat does nothing for health or damage. you just die a lot faster then you normally would lol.
  4. its best exploits like this be brought to admin's attention early in the mod then later when its rapant. If you read the other thread: http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=15468 you'd see I provided the software that causes it (dev's pm me if you need it) and the solution to stop it. This thread is proof that it works. The point of the thread started & stopped at the first post. Your just wasting your time attempting to insult me, as your following the same cliche of every member of every forum on the internet when they see the word "cheat" relating to online gaming
  5. FPS don't change, the game speed does though. By speeding up the game, it thinks time is passing 10x faster then normal; your clock in the top right will speed by at 20 seconds for every real-life second. In a sense it takes advantage of the FPS limiter. if FPS are limited to 25 per second, and the game is going at 10 seconds per second, then I am seeing a frame rate of 250 FPS. If my computer can potentially get 250 FPS if there was no limiter then my speedhack works up to 10x. Therefore, the lower I set my display settings (like 640x480, lowest everything) I can pump the speedhack to insanely high speeds. Because the speedhack speeds up the entire game itself, not only can you drive fast, but you can take turns fast; and yes-shoot insanely fast with tank or apache or harrier... As you can see by this previous thread: http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=15660 it is very effective in races. Remember, I was doing it very obviously at max settings-you could tweak it to run only 1.2x faster then normal and it would be undetected. As I stated before, speedhacks could be easily detected. Simply write a script in anticheat.def or whatever to check the clients clock (the white one that starts at whenever the map's clock starts in the top right) to the server's clock (the one in the bottom right that starts at the beginning of the race). If the client's clock is way faster, then he/she gets autokicked or banned. Also I dunno if its blocked or not, but you could still get around the handling.cfg check by editing vehicles.ide, and changing the vehicle parameters so that a rancher for example performs like an infernus, because when the game goes to look for the rancher's handling settings in handling.cfg, it uses the infernus's values instead. This translates into a speedy rancher in races.
  6. wow look at me go! lol thats hilarious you spelled my handle wrong. and btw that was a laggy server, it still is. any cheat loses its effectiveness the higher the latency. I believe this thread can be summed up in one picture
  7. that script can be adapted for san andreas, we have a stuntmap version of it running in our server
  8. I concur, I think the problem may be due to amd vs. intel cpu's? Why I think so: all the cpu usage problems here posted people are using intel cpus. also, one night I was doing maintenence on my current server (which is just a cheap AMD duron) I ran the server on one of my dell poweredge's which runs a celeron 2.0ghz and cpu usage was much higher! both machines had 2003 standard, same amount of ram. at least thats my theory.
  9. never happened to me until I played MTA, therefor its an mta problem. considering I provided the problem and solution, theres no point to any replies to this thread in the first place, so why dont you go eat some waffles?
  10. Certainly. As you can see by my game-monitor picture, I run a stunting server, fairly popular. At the time of these statistics, I had 10 people exactly, so should make for easy calculations. Ram usage of mta server: 8,076K Mem 5,936K Virtual Mem (14,012K total) CPU usage total: 6-10% normal playing, 20% map loads note: the spikes to 30% are due to me connecting via remote terminal, so disreguard them Bandwidth usage: about 400-500kbps Specs: MTA:SA Dedicated Server v1.03 Windows 2003 Standard AMD Duron 1.2ghz 768megs ram Your biggest worry is latency. Make sure the datacenter you choose has excellent peering. Otherwise, mtasa uses very little resources.
  11. well it happends occasionally on gta: san andreas. mta runs on san andreas? Do a search for it around the internet, you'll find other people have had this problem. I posted it here for people (like me) who had this problem. So do your research before you pass judgement, you waffle tosser.
  12. lol ah I see it was deleted. Developers PM me if you want it. I didn't intentionally try to find cheats, I found it by accident for mtasa. I don't even care about cheating in races-I rarely race anyways. The point is that it can be done easily, as this is proof. This cheat could be easily detected by having the server check the server clock vs. the players clock. When you activate this cheat the clock goes faster then normal. So if a player's clock was suddenly 10 seconds faster then the servers, he would be autokicked. I've been running game servers for 10 years though, and the best anticheat is good admins.
  13. I have adapted a speedhack from the game counter-strike to work in mta: san andreas. It makes some vehicles go 5-10x faster then normal. Obviously, giving you a huge advantage in races. So far it works in all protected and unprotected servers.
  14. I had this problem, the game would randomly crash with the blue screen of death displaying "ALCXSENS.SYS" error. This is caused by conflicts in the Realtek AC'97 sound card drivers (popular onboard soundcard). The fix: install the latest realtek sound drivers, link: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/dla ... tware=True
