  1. Then the DNS name (address w00tz0r.be) is wrong! That IP Address is what w00tz0r.be resolves to. Can you verify the address?
  2. What spec PC have you got? Video card drivers up to date? Did you install MTA over a clean install of SA? Has this just started happening or has it never closed gracefully? Oh, and you meant the 'Quit' button right?
  3. ...and when all the servers are updated with AntiCheat !?!?! Reinstall dude. You know it makes sense! And besides, you'll also be avoiding possible future problems if your SA install is squeaky clean. It's worth it. Have a sandwich whilst you re-install.
  4. Hi, I've just this moment tried to connect to w00tz0r.be 22003 and it time's out. Also I tried to connect to the IP address (193.111.95.10) and that also failed. Average Ping time to that address was 67ms so to me it looks as though the server is not accepting connections. I'm in the uK and it's approx 21.:10hrs - I cant see that address in the server list. Are you sure the server is up?
  5. I'm not totally clear - have you not had a single successful race yet? And as for the radio looping, did you say that it's these symptoms that always occur? To avoid lag: Make sure you join servers with a low ping - I prefer to connect to servers that show a ping below 100 (particularly if there are a lot of players i.e. more than 16. Thats what seems to work for me). Your broadband speed, contention and provider will also play a part in this. Search online for a broadband speed test - are you getting what you should be?

    Ports

You should search the forum before posting. You will see that there are several posts on this forum. try this for starters http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=14910
  7. erm, sorry dude but you should post this question in the server section... Also there is the manual inluded in the installation of MTA:SA. Try that first. Best of luck
  8. Hi, Where exactly are you seeing that ping figure? And is it the same on every server you visit?
  9. Check if there is any 'software firewall' on the computer and disable it temporarily to see if it solves the issue. What might be happening is that the firewall is prompting the user to allow a connection, but the prompt is not getting focus so the user doesnt see it to allow it. How long have they left it before restarting the computer? Does the connection attempt 'time out' eventually or does it hang indefinately?
  10. Why disable your firewall? If you're using Zone Alarm but prefer to leave it on and play MTA successfully see http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?p=213080#213080 and its related post
  11. dude what graphics card do you have? What driver version had the issue and which version fixed it? This may help other readers - cheers.
  12. You may like to verify that by checking here http://www.grc.com and looking for the "Shields Up" section to scan common ports. If any are showing as blocked then 'something' is there.... I only mention this because I had similar issues. Please see this post http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?p=213077#213077 Best of luck

    Ports?

This kind of contradicts what eAi said but, I have Zone Alarm Pro (software firewall) on my PC and I have to configure Zone Alarm to allow incoming connections for the "Program" GTA_SA.EXE otherwise I cannot receive the server list. All I get is a list of unknown servers with 9999 ping, although it does show the number of servers in the bottom right (which is probably obtained with an 'aoutbound' connection. I dont have to port forward but thats because my PC has a public IP address. Hope this is of some help.
  14. Check your firewall. I have "Zone Alarm" and had to allow GTA_SA.EXE to accept incoming connections for the server list to populate. BTW I cant see MTASA in the list of games in the All Seeing Eye client. But maybe I am doing something wrong
  15. or just type help in the console
