  1. Great! It's possible then that only the the WHQL drivers are the solution to this issue, which is what will be on the windows update site. Uninstall the ATI drivers completely or roll them back to a very early version (maybe the CDROM that came with the PC). Then visit Windows Update to get current (do not use ATI website to download). Looking forward to hearing if that solve's it
  2. I can play the game with no MTA just GTA so i dont think that is the problem k, but 'that' was not a solution - simply a question to ascertain the specs! Well done for trying jammydodger4... Sorry it didnt work for you. It has worked for other strange issues. I assume you followed the instructions carefully (removed the old drivers from the system and CAB files as instructed by Driver Cleaner Pro then installed latest official drivers) then at least your drivers are clean and up to date. Elimination, if anything. Well so far it looks as though only ATI graphics are experiencing this issue, unless anyone can correct me.... And others have had issues where the game runs fine UNTIL they install MTASA - which have been solved by updating to latest official graphics drvers. I'm stumped at this point! But I really think that whatever MTASA changes or adds to the original game is conflcting with graphics in someway (loosely speaking). Possibly the overlay that is used by the manu system MTA introduced? Needs more expert help than I can offer sorry I'll keep watching this post 'cos I'm interested.
  3. Hmmm.. ok well this may be a long shot but its up to you if you want to try it. Download "Driver Cleaner Pro" from http://www.drivercleaner.net and follow their instructions carefully. It will ensure that you make a clean UN-install of existing drivers, folllowed by a fresh install of the current drivers. I suggest this simply because you got a wierd issue and gut feeling is it's a graphics problem. Not sure if your mobility chipset plays any part (perhaps the MTA Dev guys shed light or confirm?). Also I have an ATI card and have had the odd wierd problem which this solution has resolved for me. What can often happen is that when a driver is installed e.g. when you update, Windows File Protection restores some older files over back over it. Give it a try if you're willing or just pullin' your hair out.
  4. Are your radeon drivers up to date and non-beta i.e official release?
  5. So what's the common factor here? Media Center? Speeding can you supply details of your spec, particularly your OS and graphcs driver version? Also confirm DirectX is up to date?
  6. Dude search the MTASA Client forum for the 'Parsing Response Failed' error. There are already some solutions.... Please search before posting, or if you have already searched and attempted other solutions, please say so
  7. I doubt it. There are other issues like this here in the forum. Please search before posting. More than likely there is an error but possibly your OS settings it may not be showing it. It's probably in the event log anyway. Try upating your Video drivers. But also provide more info about your setup please when positng problems....
  8. Then expect issues from time to time dude cos beta = test
  9. Are you still using the newest nVidia drivers in your second install? In other words did your problem start after you installed the latest drivers a couple of days ago? Sometimes installing new drivers can cause problems....or with XP the Windows File Protection can cause issues with drivers.
  10. Have you checked this? http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=14891
  11. sorry that should be http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=15186 Also check that all the files within that folder are not read-only
  12. Remembered this also so worth checking it out... from thelast post in forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=15186
  13. Hi, is there anything 'special' about your mouse? i.e. is it a standard mouse? Sounds like a mouse driver issue if your having to use compatibility mode to get over the first hurdle...
  14. Even so, do you have an ATI card? Using hotkeys? If so, The ATI Hotkey Poller service may be using F2 for display setting changes. Either change the hotkey assignment or disable the service. My first comment assumes that ^^ refers to in-game bound keys. Or is your keyboard a multimedia keyboard with special functions for various keys? Just a thought... even though you said you killed all background processes. Something's there! Best of luck
  15. Your welcome. At least if you or anyone else gets that particluar issue again, the answer's here. Best of luck with your new PC.
  16. I suggest you try this, bearing in mind that you say it happens close to the ground and without touching anything: When you plane is not damaged and not on the ground or at the altitude limit AND showing the symptoms you described... Unplug your PS2 keyboard. I'm assuming it's PS2 because you stated you cant use more than 2 or 3 keys simultaneously. Does it still happen? If it stops then swap your keyboard for a mid priced USB keyboard, which will also allow more than 2 or 3 keys simultaneously.
  17. Hi, this is because Windows File Protection is restoring some older driver files. To solve this you need to use a free utility called Driver Cleaner Pro (http://www.drivercleaner.net).It's important to follow their guidleines on how to make a successful clean but it worked for me as I had exactly the same issues with some other games (obviously not with MTA because I learnt before how to avoid it - I have a Radeon X800XT with 6.1 Drivers (6.2 available now tho)). This is a common enough issue which this utility has been created to remedy. I hope it helps you.
  18. Does it have anything to do with "bike skill"? Isn't that higher by default in MTA than when in single player?
  19. So this problem occurs after a clean install of both SA and MTA? Are you playing the game from DVD or using a cracked EXE?
  20. Hi, are your video card drivers and DirectX up to date?
  21. yeh! My car blew up by a bridge and I was laid out all over it lol
  22. Hi, is your antivirus program up to date and PC clean? Can you confirm your PC is spyware free? It sounds as though something is either 'self updating' or 'learning about your PC's behaviour then ruining it for you. Search for "Spybot Search and Destroy" and "Ad-Aware" to scan and remove installed spyware but more importantly antivirus.
  23. Hi, Yes that worked! However I was the only one there lol
  24. Hi, I'm not sure but I think that the controls are only what is shown in the manual. Your playstation adaptor is USB right? I have one for N64 controller and it's not working great for me either in MTASA, however I'm sure that this is only temporary and that later release will have better support for controls....
  25. Hi, are your video card drivers and DirectX are up to date?
