Good answers!!! From all there - wow i'm impressed can see you lot aint gonna be a pushover Strepto wow u know your stuff man respect - do the servers keep any sort of logs of gameplay? I used to play UT2004 (which keeps insanely detailed logs) and you could send vids like this to the admin, who would then investigate roll back thru the logs and report any findings to Epic for possible global GUID ban. Is there a way to contact server owners / admins when all u have is a name & IP in game? Ariel nice move going there yourself - its something you have to see firsthand and aint easily replicated in video. I managed to coax him into chattin to me before i left the server and after much nagging he admitted he was cheating - he claimed he was "just testing out some mods so what was the problem?" - the problem was when he started actually "racing" and all u would see during the race was a blur whiz past and he won race after race when they were purely speed-based ones. It was interesting that he was furious when the map changed to a hydra one and "it wont move the way i want it to" - couple of Hydra videos of him later. Hello Stuntmuffins Okay following on from my recent thread regarding suspected online cheating, i've been keeping an eye out for suspicious activity, and as usual always have Fraps in my holster cocked loaded n ready for action Plenty of suspicious activity, but nothing i could say for sure was cheating, maybe it was my imagination, maybe it was "server issues", or maybe they just really are that good a player Until last night. On Declains Playground server, one of the most popular - some players started ranting "F ckin hacker" this and "Cheatin b@stard" that - which aint uncommon especially when the kids get home from school lol. Anyways I carefully parked my Hydra deep inside the roof of a local building, so started viewing the accused player - and man, i was astonished about what i witnessed. I got the best bits recorded in the times between my ass getting pwned and map respawning - he was on for hours with no admin activity. Heres the first example for you to have a look at, see if you think this is a "bug" or lag or my imagination. I'd be interested to hear what you think. Pay particular attention to the moment his car hits the ground, as well as his health. Played a few of these maps they good fun and a welcome break when my hand hurts like a bitch from too many bike maps. But i agree with the Devs let the mapgeeks or server admins figure out how to resolve map-specific things like this - they got more important things to work on for future releases like how to get rid of all the damn trees and stuff.

Aw man come on, were none of you ever n00bs? Was there not a time when you didnt know Jack sh t? The first 36 times you got in a hydra did you not instantly take off flip it and explode? And told tell me you've never played a multiplayer game without going thru the whole single player campaign six times I would have thought you would be glad MTASA is bringing new players to the game, keeping the game alive and more importantly keeping those servers occupied. All this anti-n00blitarianistic behaviour will achieve is putting people off playing, and pretty soon you could find yoself on server "ProPLaYaZ (1/32 online)" Personally, i dont mind n00bs. They suck. I dont. More wins for me =D> I'm just enjoyin it while it lasts man hahaa

Doh Yeah i only found it by accident when i was bored n messin around in the prefs - its a pretty new feature i think and they dont seem to make a big thing of it .....but invaluable for gaming if u aint into crappy soft rock haha

Your spelin for a start I aint no map geek so i might be wrong, but at a guess i'd say this a custom map, and that is not a good place to stick a vehicle change for a vehicle that size. Solution : Dont worry about it.

I dunno if its anytghing to do with it, but i get something like that happen quite often - New race starts, but nothing happens nobody moves no countdown horn doesnt honk chat dont work, and i kept thinkin it was the server spazzed out - but then i discovered if i disconnect then straight away reconnect to the server, the race actually did start, is halfway thru so it wasnt the server it was just me that froze. Damn mustve been stood at the startline like a complete n00baloid heh

Ive just remembered - for the past year every single time i play GTA / MTA i have Fraps running in the background.... next time i see something (presuming i remember) i'll try and record it

Whats that all about?? errm... i'm sure i originally had some sort of serious point to make in this thread....

A mate of mine had the same problem, and we realised that it only crashes when he didnt have the DVD mounted, didnt ask him for it just bombed. Mount the DVD, problem went away. P.S. eAi - maybe its about time you did change some GTA files.... theres a lot of trees that need removing man

^^^^What he said. Some way to lock the radio sattion would be good too - on a map with a few vehicle spawns retuning the radio at high speed every time u geta new one can be hairy. Almost as distracting as having to press F2 every few seconds.
