  1. Argh! This is really doing my head in now. Since I zapped my PC I've been having problems with my graphics card. No hardware was changed, just a reinstall with the same hardware, and I think all the same software. Since doing that, I started getting a pause in GTA:SA. CJ or any cars, etc would move for a second, pause for half, move for a second, etc. I tried all sorts of drivers for the card, but in the end tracked it down to Norton Anti-Virus. The Navapsvc.exe constantly take up between 19-42% of my processor. If I engage the internet lock and turn off Norton I can play fine. Obviously this will be a problem with MTA though. I've run Norton, Adaware and Spybot, and all are clean. Any suggestions people?

  5. Yes, but it's a matter of opinion as to what's the fastest. My fave is the Turismo, but I know a friend of mine would take the Super GT every time. I'll bet there's others who'd take the Bullet, and others yet who'd take the Banshee. This is why I think it would be interesting, it wouldn't be about how good you and the other players are in that car, it would be about who's best in their choice of car. Of you can have silly ones where you get a choice of several crappy cars.
  6. The suggestion was for off-line. As Blue creates an interface for GTA, I assume all existing code would run OK, so it's still possible to play single-player and have the advantages of the Blue extensibility
  7. The idea was the player wouldn't have free choice, it would be part of the race design as to which cars were available to choose from.
  8. I know the race file dictates the vehicles used in the race, but what I'm suggesting/asking if it will happen is the option to give the players a choice. For example, a sports car race giving the player the choice between Super GT, Turismo, Bullet and Banshee. Or maybe based on similar speed, between a PCJ, Turismo, Elgey, etc. I don't remember this being mentioned, and I did do a search first
  9. The people who moan and ask for things to hurry up have no idea how developing works. You can be one bug away from completion and realise that the one bug is an inherrant problem that goes very deep and means disturbing a lot of code and doing a lot more testing

  12. Good idea, but a way off before the Deathmatch stuff comes out.
  13. Sounds too complicated. At first it was a good idea, and if you change 2 things, could be a great idea that (I think) could be done with just a race file. It would work like this. 6, 12, 18, 24 or 30 players divided into 2 teams. Each team has equal numbers of Hydras, Rhinos, Hunters. Destroy the other team! I think it could be done with a race file with no checkpoints or freeroam on. Destroying the other team would obviously mean you finish the race first, the only question I have is about how to ensure all members of the winning team are credited rather than just one

I am getting so f'ing tired of reading your mind-absent brain spills that have no impact on anything but to wind up those working on this project, and the rest of us with a brain. You obviously haven't the slightest clue about developing in concept, let alone being able to, let alone being able to WELL. So why do you think you can tell the team how they should be doing it? And don't give me any crap about common sense or the customer is always right. You've shown you have no common sense in your stupid diatrides and the customer only knows what he wants at this second relating to what he's thinking about right now without any thought for the knock-ons it will have. "I think you should just release a simple thing with the whole map re-done and all new vehicles. I could do it while I'm taking a dump but can't be bothered" They are writing a WHOLE SDK, for the WHOLE game. If you build a building you don't just lay the foundation for the bit you're going to build first. You lay it all. And you get it right. You can't go digging up the foundation and changing it later without messing up the bits you have built. Please, go away and talk in dumb text type on some chavy forum somewhere else. Cos even when the game is released, those of us who do know what we're talking about, and even those who don't but still respectfully keep quiet, don't want you on the servers trying to cheat your way to a good score because it's the only way you can get it. P.S. To save me actually replying to your stupid digs at me, I'll say it now. "I don't care. You're an idiot"

  19. Sure you don't mean Transfender and Wheel Arch Angels? They only take certain cars. WAA lets you do more customising, but only on selected cars. Raid Wang motors for some of these ones
  20. Or maybe Anti-Street-Racer Police? A few police cars whose aim is to bring the other cars competing to a stop

  22. I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner. Once Blue is ready for a first release with the Race pack, how about addressing an issue that has bugged SA players from day one? I think it should be very easy if you have an OO extention/add-in for the main.scm and doesn't require servers, etc. A wrap-around for off-line GTA:SA that changes the number of cars you can store in a garage! So maybe we can fill up that huge hanger with cool cars. I know people have written other mods to work around this, but it would be so much easier to just change the limit in the main code Assuming that can be done
