I heard that some imbecile ([Co1F]EDOS) is trading these free-download GMC maps for scripts.
I also saw how this idiot is sharing or trading the resources from community with changed original author to himself. Be careful, in MTA there are a lot of deceivers (especially the ones who call themselves as "scripters").

I continued to make about 30 maps in old editor when mta 1.0 was existing already 2 years. I even converted sent to me mta1.0 maps to mta1.1.2(old) for editing the bugs. But there was one good reason - first versions of new editor were very bugged. Nowadays new Editor is much better and more convinient than old one. I worked in old editor ~ 2-3 years, and I can compare, map creating in new one is really faster and easy, especially nice is F3-button and fast-slow moving.

MTA lost a lot of players with new versions. First 1.0 for 1.1 now 1.2 so quickly? Now all servers should move to 1.2 again, when 1.3 comes?

Most of the maps in pack are CW-type, so you can train your Team's DD skills.
The others are for 'Single playing' (all vs all) or 'for FUN'.

Что касается популярности МТА...
Как мне видится, тут 2 основных поля для пропаганды: 1. САМПовцы и 2. Другие
Я полагаю, САМПовцев можно привлечь такой рекламой МТА, в которой будут показаны именно отличия и преимущества МТА перед САМПом, представлен список рекомендуемых серверов, сделаны хорошие видеоролик(и) именно для САМП-аудитории.
Также МТА богат разнообразными режимами игры (не только же РПГ и стрелялки) - вот их тоже можно показать (например разновидности Race мода).
В общем, сделать этакое красочное и краткое описание, со всеми инструкциями и нужными ссылками, возможными проблемами при установке.
Распространять через:
1. ГТА форумы, где можно встретить целевую аудиторию
2. Давать ссылки на рекламную статью на таких форумах, с просьбой чтобы распространяли среди знакомых ГТАшников
Наверняка многим наскучили CS, CSS, CoD и тп. Или кто-то просто хотел бы поиграть в веселый мультиплеер. Ведь не секрет, что большинство Онлайн-игроков даже не слышали про МТА и не представляют что это такое. Хотя такого как МТА, аналогов в игровом мире - вообще нет, и наверно нескоро будет (полная свобода в плане игровых режимов, создание карт, скрипты).
Дак вот, если бы народ увидел что это за игра, то я уверен, что очень многим бы понравилось.
Опять же, делаем хорошую статью, с классными скриншотами, видеороликами. Потом краткое и четкое описание, Подробные инструкции где что скачать (в т.ч. чистую ГТА) и как установить, с F.A.Q. Обязательно нужно рассказать и показать именно разнообразие игры, RPG, DD, Race, DM, BaseMode, Truck, Stunt и т.д. и т.п., желательно через видео.
Распространять на:
1. ГТА Сайтах
2. Игровых форумах
3. На обычных, но крупных и популярных форумах, где есть раздел Игры (например крупные Локальные сети, Rutracker.org и тд и тп)
Кстати вот видел много просто роликов на Ютубе где рекламируют свои карты. А чисто русской рекламы МТА, с хорошим описанием не видел.

Официальный МТА сайт мягко говоря багнутый.
Например, регистрация и логин на форуме очень часто вообще не хотят функционировать.
Форум и сайт могли бы быть поинтереснее. Для некоторых разделов форума нужно больше категорий, а где-то есть и лишние.
Так называемое Community.. Еще год назад его обещали переделать в более или менее нормальный вид, однако как видите, а воз и ныне там. Как кто-то тут подметил, 99% гавно, и тот 1% действительно нормальных скриптов просто теряется. Также невозможно там что-то найти, т.к. очень убого реализовано. Все вперемешку - скрипты, карты, гейммоды, какие-то текстуры... Вот это надо поправить.

Hello!
2 or 3 weeks ago some arabian and turkish players created a fake of GMC. They created fake site, 2 fake servers (DM and DD), and a fake team. They are using |GMC| and |GMCk| (it was for new recruits) tags, many of them using or used nicknames of real GMC players.
Real GMC was closed in 17/02/2011. GMC servers still existed some time, then GMC DM was closed and GMC 100% DD was renamed to [4F] Hard DD, and GMC founders (mostly russians) are playing in a new team called 4F.
We were really confused the first time we saw that Fakers playing with our old tags and nicknames. And they are still doing it.
Everyone in DD and most of DM community knows that we are real GMC.
No one of that fakers played in real GMC clan. They've even using |GMCk| tag for Trial members, while they dont know what that "k" means in our language. Server's names style is completely same too.
They are lying to all who is asking them if they are real GMC. They telling that, ME (!!!) allowed them to recreate GMC. They telling that they were in old GMC team (Unbelievable!).
GMC DD still exist as [4F] server. The content of their ''GMC DD server'' are DD maps downloaded from 4F site's Downloads link, you can easly check and compare it.
I am asking MTA developers to block that servers in MTA servers browser. If you need proof from us, I have databases of both old GMC's sites, of all old servers, thousands screenshots, a lot of people here from different clans can confirm my words.

Maybe I'm lucky, but I've had it great so far. I manually updated my server to 1.1 using FTP. Deleted all of the old files and just FTP'd the new stuff. Server activation was instant. Download speeds were 500/700kb/s. I'm sorry but some of the reviews seem people who are inexperienced and needed a guide to get them to hosting. If you don't know what you're doing, don't blame the server.

I tried the same, and hosting could not even start the server.
Your server is mostly empty, because when there are more then 12-15 players it beginning to lagg hardly.

Looks like owners of this hosting dont care about the hosting.
The problem of uploading/refreshing still not fixed.
Hosting doesnt support MTA 1.0.5 server version (only 1.0.4).
Sometimes (each 3-7 days) server stopping itself, and their "Automatic restart" is not working.
Also sometimes, rarely server is lagging.
