Are you talking about the v1.1 patch or the server patch?

Anything from probably 128MB video memory onwards will run fine when MTA is running, My Geforce FX 5200 is only 128MB, i know the card isnt really good but still the game runs fine and im happy with that.

It could be depending on what server you are on, though on your screen your running fine but enermys see you running very slowly (lagging). If your playing on servers far away from your location eg. UK - USA your ping will raise, this happens to everyone. Possibly close down all other programs on your computer when you play MTA, This can stop lag. Sometimes people do just make excuses like " you lag or you pause " due to your killing them etc.

Look on the known issues thread, It directly tells you how to stop this happening.
